This location has changed hands a few times, but they keep finding their groove and getting better each time. The latest iteration features a high tea right as they open. You do need to make a reservation as the chef will prepare savory and sweet, dishes for your high tea. When you arrive, they have an entire book of tea awaiting you. There's also a three tier plate system that contains all the beautiful snacks. The staff is attentive they make sure you have plenty of hot water for your tea. And you are also welcome to try as many things as you like. I like starting off with a black tea and then progressing to a green tea and different herbal teas. I will preface this by saying, I visited the Champagnery for tea and have not tried any alcoholic beverages here. We had tea time here for my birthday this year and it was such an elevated and fun experience! We received a tea pot of hot water and a box containing an array of teas. My favorite was a berry herbal tea. We also had a tiered tray of sandwiches and sweets like scones and cookies. We sat for a couple hours and our server was great about checking in and providing hot water refills. I am definitely interested in revisiting and trying a champagne flight. I remember hearing about this spot when it opened a few years ago but never remembered about visiting. A friend suggested meeting up here since she had been before and loved the vibe! Not sure if the hype had died down about this place, but on a Thursday evening it wasn't busy. Almost empty actually. A few groups here and there but tons of open tables. We did make a reservation since we didn't know how busy it was going to be. My friends ordered flights. They were very good and refreshing! Each flight was around $30, so a bit pricey. I ordered fresh oysters for us to share. Really good! They mostly have small plates here so I wouldn't come hungry. Overall, the atmosphere is probably the biggest perk. It's gorgeous inside. It was my first official visit to the Champagnery with a group of girlfriends for a birthday celebration. I arrived on a weekday around 7 PM, and there were a few tables but not many. I was immediately greeted and was sat in the reserved area for our group of 9. It's a small and private area right past the bar. The atmosphere was bright and inviting. The area had a mix of chairs and couches with plenty of table space and a fireplace. The menu is completely online, see QR code for details. It's a large menu, considering most are drinks. The champagne list is large with a variety of single flutes or flights to choose from. It's not cheap, the glass of champagne I choose was $28. I'd recommend getting the flight, it seemed like more champagne and a chance to try multiple brands. Service was slow and there was some confusion with drinks. Overall I'd give a 5 for atmosphere, 4 for drinks and 3 for service - on average a 4. This would be a great place to bring out of town guests but not somewhere I would frequent often due to the service and prices. read more

Haven't been here in years so it was high on my list to get back to. Visited on a Thursday night with 5 friends. Resy would only give us the option for "patio" when having 6 people but it was too cold for that... called and they advised they wouldn't be busy and we would be fine. This is a new-ish, hip place on Frankfort Ave, but had a pretty mediocre experience. This Champagne is mostly over-priced, top-shelf stuff and the service could be improved. Nice decor. Music is really loud, making it hard to talk. The waiter brought us the wrong drink flight. No food service after 10p. We'd maybe return with a group if we were celebrating something big and splitting the cost of a champagne bottle. The small selection of beer was decently priced and they did have an Upland that I liked for $5. It would be a fancy place to take a date if you were looking for drop a bunch of money. What a fun, unique and yummy experience we had at The Champagnery! Four of us visited for High Tea. Our server, Rob, was terrific! Very attentive, explaining the process, welcoming us warmly. Our server let the manager know and he came to our table to meet us. The teas were delicious, presented in a box to make our selection easy to view. First layer was savory with four different offerings including a salmon sandwich that was delicious!! I'd not had a chance to try The Champagnery before, but drive by often as it's in my neighborhood. The large, airy space in front was tastefully decorated for the season. The soft lighting and stone bar made the room glow. A jazz trio played in the front room adding even more cheer to the evening. We were a bit turned off when we entered by the attitude of our young hostess, but chalked it up to it being a Friday night during a busy season and her lack of customer service experience/training. We settled into one of the swanky couches, arranged on one wall, and perused the extensive drink menu. There's a champagne, wine, or cocktail for everyone in this book! Many are bottle only, but there's a fair sampling to be had by the glass or in a flight. Having just eaten, we skimmed the small, yet well-crafted list of food offerings which included things like olives, nuts, and charcuterie. I chose the classic Kir Royale for its holiday flavors and color and my friend was intrigued by the Wren Bird which includes prosecco, vodka, and an Earl Grey tea syrup. This is one place I wouldn't have to have a phone in front of me if I was sitting alone at the bar (even though I totally had my phone in front of me last night sitting alone at the bar). But, if I didn't have a phone I'd be fine sitting there looking around at the beautiful décor and lights and bottles. I immediately feel a whole degree more elegant when I walk through those doors. My favorite things are the flights (Rose is my favorite flight) and the cheese trays and the popcorn! My Yelp friend had a room reserved there for a Bachelorette party the first time I went there. Sometimes hubby and I just want to put on a nice outfit and go out for real: no hipsters, no oldsters, no drunks, no screamers. The Champagnery fits exactly that niche. The décor, the atmosphere and the champagne are all perfect. Young professionals and a-bit-less young professionals will all fit in here just fine. Everyone will take care to bring out the nicer shoes and bags. But you don't really have to pull out a cocktail dress or suit either...unless you want to. I feel the price is justified here. For $20, I had a taste of Dom Perignon for the first time. I may not ever become a consumer of Dom, but now my curiosity has been satisfied. It really is worth the money!!! I also ordered 3 oysters and received the freshest specimens. I wish I had ordered 6! But they ran out quickly on this Saturday evening...don't be like me...just do it. Hubby enjoyed the dessert flight of sparkling wines. They are not terribly sweet like I had feared. Just very pleasant and more complex than anything I could have picked out in a store. Let me start out with the main point of this review: Randy is an A+ server! Thank you Randy for your hard work and adeptness in juggling a large, boisterous party. And thank you to the rest of the staff who stepped in an helped him! I was able to visit the Champagnery this last weekend with a bachelorette party to celebrate a friend's upcoming nuptials. A partially separated room was reserved for our large group. When we first got there, Randy was trying to get the lay of the land a little bit and suggested that if several people wanted to get the same tasting flights, we could order by the bottle and do the flights like that in order to save us a little money. The nature of the party and group (coming and going, on and off at different times) that wasn't an offer we were able to take him up on. Just keep that in mind as a possibility if you are there with a budget-conscious group with similar tastes! As well as champagne by the glass, bottle, or flight, they also have cocktails, beer, and some small bites food offerings. So even if you aren't feeling the bubbly, there will be something to whet your whistle and keep your tummy full of things beyond alcohol. I was a little nervous about how much this event might cost me, and I had a hard time finding out because the business website is still under construction. THANK YOU to a couple of my fellow yelpers/previous reviewers who posted about what their visits cost, as well as those that posted photos of pages in the menu! And surprisingly...they seem to not have an automatic gratuity for large groups! I was prepared for that, but when I requested my bill, it was not there! Which is good, because I always leave at least 20% which is more than the usual auto-gratuity-for-large-groups! My wallet and my math-ing skills thank you all! Anyway, I personally ordered and enjoyed the Dessert Flight ($15) and the Rose Flight ($14). I like being able to try a couple different things, and flights help me do that! We went on a Thursday evening so it was pretty quiet, This spot is literally within an art gallery. Think of a fancy full bar with paintings you can purchase surrounding you as you drink. We decided it was only fitting to get a flight or two since champagne flights are a real thing here. Both flights were enjoyable and we each found one champagne we kept going back to. We Googled them once consumed and found them to be reasonably priced so we're excited to purchase them for home consumption. It was busy but not to packed so we were able to get 3 seats at the bar. The place is beautiful--marble bar, contemporary lighting and both indoor and outdoor seating. The atmosphere is chic and hip and pretty loud. Not a place to have an intensely intimate conversation but great for a girls night out. We had amazing service featuring a specialized flight curated by the owner of the lounge after saying we know nothing about champagne. We got great education about Prosecco, Rosé, and champagne. The Champagnery is a delight, and such a fun addition to the Clifton dining scene! I visited recently with friends for a goodbye dinner before one of them moved out of town. Picking a Tuesday night, we didn't realize just how popular it would be during the week! Despite the crowd, we were able to be seated inside immediately and were promptly greeted by a server. We ordered some olives to start, followed by the Montagne Charcuterie board. You probably can't go wrong with the charcuterie boards, but I can endorse the one that we had: a perfect variety of meats, cheeses, briney cocktail pickles, Marconi almonds, and ripe grapes and pear provided the père t accompaniment to our beverages. I decided to try a champagne flight, which came with Veuve Cliquot, Piper Heidseick, and Mousse Fils L'Or d'Eugene. I'm not typically a champagne person, but decided that when in Rome I would partake. I loved being able to appreciate the subtle differences of each different pour as I enjoyed them that evening! The only flat notes to our evening were some inattentive service -- our server forgot to put in our charcuterie order and messed up a friend's drink order, and also went MIA for a chunk of time -- and how loud it is inside. The interior is beautiful and features tiles on the ceiling, but there is little inside to absorb the din of conversation and clinking glasses.
