I really really dislike this lounge so much. My husband and I have been coming to this lounge for years before Capital One and Sidecar arrived. Now we just avoid this lounge like the plague. It's literally our least favorite lounge. If you want to wait in line, deal with all the chaos, eat pretty garbage food, then you come here. There is no exclusiveness here. You pay for your ridiculous yearly annual just to be given subpar lounge and food. Like you might as well buy your own food and hang out at the gate. Years and years we waited for improvement but obviously Jo Schmo runs this place and can't take heavily criticism from card paying members. Just close this place down at this point because this place cannot compete with Capital One, Chase Sapphire, United Polaris, or even their own Sidecar concept which is a big 180 change than to this for the amount of money you pay. Food needs to be updated. I've come here breakfast, lunch, and dinner many times and it's the same crap they serve you. No offense- I'm like done with buffets and thier fake egg scrambles or frittata. Like just copy what Capital One is doing. They clearly got the picture. More quality, less quantity especially when you pay the ridiculous annual. Like a small plate of egg Benedict or bagel lox is fine. Fresh ingredients... not the same damn thing every year. At one point, they even stop making their famous cookies which was the icing on the cake for us! Like how dare they!! Service is always great here. Hence why you keep 2 stars. It's the only thing that matters. The staff are ways nice and keep this place clean. Ambiance is okay. It just gets so crowded and has lost its luster as high end and being exclusive..and classy. Now you just have families hanging around with their screaming babies. I think they change this rule though. Fortunately we never had to wait in lines here. Hence, we go to the other lounges if it gets bad. I like peace and quiet. I like exclusiveness. Make some changes and people would come.

Captain's Log, Stardate 20260317 Today, I set my course for the Centurion Lounge at the Las Vegas airport, and I must report that my visit was a triumph worthy of the finest starship. As any seasoned captain knows, the first order of business is to ensure a clean and navigable waypoint. The Centurion Lounge certainly met this criterion, presenting a pristine space that was as easy to find as a warp core breach in a Klingon vessel. The service was nothing short of legendary, reflecting the best of Starfleet protocol. The crew members were always on hand, ready to assist with the efficiency of the Federation itself. Their warm hospitality was akin to a well-timed photon torpedo, hitting the mark every time and ensuring my comfort during this brief layover. From the moment I entered the lounge, it was evident that this location was a sanctuary for weary travelers. With ample seating, a tranquil atmosphere, and a delightful array of amenities, I felt as if I had set my phasers to "relax." In conclusion, my journey to the Centurion Lounge at Las Vegas airport was one for the records, reaffirming my loyalty to this exceptional travel haven. The experience was truly out of this world, reminding me that the final frontier is best explored with a touch of luxury and care. End log. Captain 619

Pretty good lounge... It's a fairly good size but should expand. It's reaching capacity. Don't be surprised with a 40 minute wait throughout the day. Staff does a good job in keeping everything clean. Can't complain about the service staff is friendly and helpful. Pro tip - get your name on waiting list first. They will text when there is room

This is a good one! Had Greek yogurt and cottage cheese with raspberries, the perfect protein, flavored breakfast. We had a nice breakfast spread and the lounge is beautiful. They don't overcrowd so Check before you leave Tsa # to see if you need to sign up on the waitlist.

If you have anxiety when flying on a plane or you do not like waiting for your flight in crowded airport gate areas, the Centurion Lounge is the best place to wait comfortably with personal space, delicious, hot meals and an open full bar! The menu varies for breakfast or lunch. The staff is always friendly, proficient and professional. The tables, couches, private areas, work stations provide comfort with charging stations. Two restrooms with multiple stalls are within the lounge for privacy and security your belongings. I intentionally look for my connecting flights to have enough time to visit this lounge.

I usually get to the Las Vegas airport a few hours early so I can relax in the lounge, grab a drink and a bite to eat before catching my flight. The Centurion lounge is a good one if you catch it at the right time. Sometimes you can catch it and it's extremely busy and other times, finding a seat isn't a problem. I happened to arrive around 12:30p and grabbing a seat wasn't an issue. I did wait a while for them to change out the breakfast food to lunch because I feel like the options and quality of food are a little better during lunch time. The lounge is always clean and there is always someone around the food station either cleaning or there to answer questions. You can also get complimentary drinks at the bar or pay extra for a few drinks if you'd like. Overall, the Centurion lounge is a good place to wait for your flight if you are a platinum Amex card member. Also, from my experience, don't become discouraged from the line outside. The line may seem long but they do let people in several at a time, so the line moves pretty quick. OOOO 4 out of 5 Afros

My two hours in transit at Terminal 1 at the Harry Reid International airport was the shortest span of time I have spent in Las Vegas. The American Express Centurion Lounge on Concourse D was just the right place to relax and rejuvenate. Hats off to the team here especially Tibari and Felipe who handled the crazy Christmas Eve Eve travel rush with ease and grace. The happy bartenders took care of the 6 deep line with class and smiles. The lounge is small and simple and open daily for 18 hours starting at 5 am. The check in was super fast and efficient. The lunch buffet spread ( starting at 11:30 am) was healthy and tasty - numerous salads, ginger shots, good shrimp dish, excellent squash soup, grilled chicken, assorted cheese platter and the fav- a beautiful dessert section with hot n gooey cookies and soft ice cream. There is only one shower suite but the wait was maybe 15 minutes. Yes typical excellent Amex Lounge but with that Sin City exclusive - the slot and poker machines are 20 feet from the entrance.

I wanted to check out this lounge and see how it compares to other lounges. It was not as busy considering it is Las Vegas. There are a few coffee machines, one bar and buffet style eatery. It was easy to find a seat, but getting service was a bit harder. It is much larger than the Sidecar lounge located around the corner. It's a good choice if you have more time to sit and wait.

I'm aware there's normally waiting list to get in, however, you can use the app to be added to the list. Then you can sit somewhere else, walk around, etc until you get the notification. This is much better than comparing to another lounge where you actually have to be there to be added to their waitlist (w/o knowing if there's waiting). Anyhow, my waitlist experience at Amex lounge has usually cleared within 20 min or so. There are lots of seats/tables in my opinion. Food-wise, well it's okay - nothing spectacular, but acceptable. :) Servers are friendly and they do a good job keeping tables clean after guests' leaving.

There was a one hour wait to get into this lounge but I still waited since my flight got delayed anyhow and I wanted a spot where I could work and eat. Once I got in, I was impressed! Space was clean, and there was a wide variety of food. I had breakfast food first, and while I was working there, they brought out lunch food. I had lunch there too and it was delicious and fresh! They also have freshly pressed juices and iced teas. And even ginger / turmeric shots.

It's a beautiful terminal and it's a very spacious lounge. Food bar and drink bar is fully stocked and food. I came on a Wed night after my flight was delayed. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Tonight - there was a huge salad bar with lots of options followed with asparagus and marinated chicken. You'll need to walk a little bit and take a tram to get to the lounge if you fly Southwest. In terminal 1 - go Past the C gate security and follow signs for D gates. Then take tram and follow signs for gate D1.

This is still the best lounge at Harry Reid airport, and it's very popular. There is often a waitlist to enter, but it's easy to join the waitlist through the app. You will get a text when it's your turn. We have never had to wait more than 10 minutes or so. It's a beautiful space inside with many different seating options. WiFi is fast and of course there is an open bar. The buffet offers a variety of dishes throughout the day often highlighting local chefs which is a nice touch. There is a separate chilled case of desserts. On our most recent visit we found they added a self service coke and Diet Coke fountain as well as cold brew (nitro and still) on tap. The staff are always friendly and gracious and quickly clear away plates and glasses. Definitely get yourself a platinum card and visit this lounge!

AWARENESS: With a few hours to kill before my flight back home, I decided to visit the Centurion Lounge to kill some time, grab something to eat and, live stream some football. NARRATIVE: Let me start by saying, I was flying out of terminal A and this lounge is located in the satellite terminal of D, about a 15 minute walk and tram ride away. When I first arrived at the lounge and attempted to get on the waitlist for entry, I was told I had to wait about 45 minutes because, unlike most lounges who grant access up to 3 hours at anytime, the Centurion Lounge will only allow access to its lounges within 3 hours of your scheduled departure. With this news, I walk a few doors down and visited the Priority Lounge to wait out the time. When I was within my 3 hour window, I used the American Express app to add myself to the waiting list and I walked back to the Centurion Lounge. When I arrived, my reservation was checked and accepted and I headed inside to grab a seat. Even though this lounge is huge with lots of seating, It was CROWDED. It took about 5 minutes to finally land a seat where I felt comfortable enough to leave my bag, grab some food and check the place out. The food options are vast. Hot items of eggs, potatoes, sausage (chicken & turkey) and oatmeal filled the buffet and, as the times emptied, staff was quick to bring out more and fresher items. The bar area isn't that big but, the bartenders (about 3) were on the ball spinning out spirts, juices and sodas. They also had plenty of food and drink items for carry out, although I didn't see any bags for the carry. SCENE: The Centurion Lounge is located in Terminal D at the Las Vegas Airport. If you're flying out from Terminals A through C, you're going to have a decent walk along with a tram ride to get there. RECOMMENDATION(S): If I have time to kill, and I mean at least 3 hours, I would revisit.

When are the warm breakfast items served in the morning?

Yay great breakfast in the morning when you get there and at last till 1030 at which time they start putting out lunch stuff!!

Aside from weekend volume, Is there an average wait time for let's say Tues-thurs lunch-ish?

30 mins or less. Check in from the Amex app to expedite the process

Does anyone know if there are hair dryers in the Centurion at sfo?

Yes they definitely have but if it's not there when you shower as there's only one showering room just asked the attendant to bring you one

Wowowow, consider me a converted lounge person. I don't travel enough to really take advantage of…read moreairport lounges but when my sister in law mentioned the Capital One Lounge in Vegas, my three hour layover made me curious. Even though we landed in B gates, we headed straight to the lounge at the D gates after deplaning! Sadly, it is not free for VentureOne cardholders (VentureX only it seems). But, I might just open another line of credit to get complimentary lounge access because this was niceeeee. Here's what you get: 1. Complimentary grab and go snacks, including coffee tea, oat milk latte (on draft), water, salads, wraps, and snacks (with bags provided for takeaway), like banana chips, cookies, blueberry yogurt pretzels, dried fruit. It's a decent assortment and even if you only had enough time to come in and grab a quick snack, it would be good. 2. Complimentary bites, including charcuterie, pancetta mac and cheese, ratatouille short rib, tinga tacos, mushroom cassoulet, hummus, and an assortment of sweets (including donuts, cookies, and lemon poppyseed cake). 3. Complimentary alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, excluding top shelf liquor. I loved the inclusion of local Vegas businesses on the bar menu. Felt very Yelp-y and made this feel a bit cozier than I expected for a corporate credit card lounge. 4. Coffee and tea bar, including aforementioned oat milk on draft and a variety of teas. 5. An excellent place to rest and relax or focus and get work done before your flight. There's an abundance of outlets, plenty of seating space, and even a couple work stations and a quiet room you can reserve. On top of allll of this, the staff were friendly and sweet. This experience has been so wonderful I felt compelled to pen this review from the lounge as I sit here drinking my (complimentary) limoncello spritz and as I was writing it a staff member came around to bring us free champagne and chocolate to enjoy as the sun set?! Like, is this place for real? I wish I lived here. Sadly, I must leave to head back home in 20 minutes but I will recommend this place to anyone passing through Vegas.

The free bourbon selection was solid -- Uncle Nearest, Frey Ranch, and Woodford Reserve were all available, and they even had a $20 pour of vintage Jim Beam if you wanted to splurge a little. I filled my bag with blueberry yogurt pretzels and trail mix, grabbed a cold brew oat milk latte to go, a warm turkey sausage breakfast sandwich, and even got a complimentary small dark chocolate. The bartender was amazing and took the time to explain the cocktails and free pours thoroughly. He also made me a water with add-in relax, which was a nice touch, and even gave me a bag to haul all my to-go items. Between the drinks, snacks, and service, it was absolutely worth the venture x annual fee.

Both my parents are from New England and I've been dying to go back over the last several years (my last visit up there was in back 2017). I'm really, really hoping that I will finally break that visiting drought next summer. Not a whole lot of bar and restaurant choices in terminal 1 before you go though security, especially on a Sunday night. Everyone leaves Vegas and most places close early on Sunday's. We got there close to 7:30, but the bartender told us that she would be closing up at around 8:00, but we were welcome to take our drinks with us after they closed. Drinks must be in a plastic cup if you would like to take it with you, however. I got myself a Mai Tai and my mom got herself a Riesling white wine. The Mai Tai had that paradise-like fruity vodka flavor to it and the texture was like a beautiful sunset over the beach. My mom considered having a couple of Riesling drinks but only ended up having one because it was getting close to closing time. I think this was my first time having a Mai Tai and it was not bad for a first timer. Hanging out at an airport bar will definitely be a new thing for me whenever I'm waiting for a friend or family member to come in.

It is supposed to open at 8:00 am. It is 8:26 am and no one is here. Do not recommend.read more
