I found out that, after the fact, quite a bit of the stuff I bought wasn't very fresh. Threw away two out of four cheeses because they were pretty far gone. They were so bad that I did not feel it was worth holding onto it to bring back to the store for a refund, just wanted to be rid of it. I take responsibility that I should've checked better, but it's poor business practice for the store to be carrying inventory that isn't safe for patrons. Hope to see this improved on.

It makes browsing interesting. There is a tiny section selling Japanese skincare products too. This is mainly a snacks place. You can get fruits imported from Japan but at a high price tag. There are caviar too. Bread is sold here on weekend or towards the end of the week. I think it is to cater to people living in Steveston. There are usually items on sale here, making it a good way to try Japanese food without breaking the bank.

T&T at this location does a good job at having enough of its well known items - fresh produce, meats, prepared foods, baked items, cosmetics, and beverages. I don't want to claim racism but it was very hard not to feel this way when actively ignored while trying to receive help whilst every other person who came to the store was nicely greeted and asked if they needed anything. The hot take-out hot is sugar or salt saturated (I know it's not Whole Foods). Maybe okay to shop here if there's no other option, or just drive a couple of KM's from this place for bulk of my needs.
