It was clean, furniture a little dated but maintained. Bed comfortable & cozy, room quiet and good temperature, and nice hot shower in the morning. I did use the disposable coffee cup from the room because the ones in the common area seemed questionable for hot liquids

Placed an order for 2 hamburgers with fries, a chicken sandwich and a perch plate. After waiting approximately 50 min we asked our waitress how much longer we could expect to wait. She said she would check and went back into the kitchen and never returned. After approximately another 10 min another waitress approached and we asked if she could check on our order to which she got pretty snippy with us and said they are busy and also taking online orders and they would get to ours. We told her if they hadn't started our order yet could we please just pay for our drinks and leave as we could not wait any longer. She approached a man standing behind the bar who looked like he was conversing with some people at the bar and having some drinks with them and he followed her into the kitchen. She then returned to our table a few minutes later with our check and just placed it on the table and said here ya go! We paid her right away and she just turned and walked away from us! Never received an apology or anything. For the prices and this type of service I would just recommend going somewhere else!

What a classic Midwest supper club experience! From the moment we sat down, it felt like we were…read moreright where we were supposed to be. The bartender was hilarious and incredibly accommodating, even while juggling the whole room with ease. Pro tip: make sure to tell the bartender when you're ready to order--it's part of the charm and keeps things moving smoothly. We were seated next to some Midwest locals who were beyond friendly, striking up conversation and making us feel instantly welcome. That kind of atmosphere is hard to find and really made the night. The food was outstanding for the price--honestly about one-third the cost of what you'd pay in a big city, and just as good (if not better). The salad bar and soup were excellent, fresh, well-stocked, and exactly what you hope for in a true Midwest supper club. Great people, great food, great value, and zero pretension. This place is the real deal, and we'll absolutely be back.

Best pizza we've had so far in NEW! Service was good,…read morefriendly atmosphere, lots of locals. Totally would recommend for their amazing pizza. Only drawback was we weren't aware that this is a cash only establishment. My hubby realized it when he observed everyone was using cash for their purchases. We did find a VERY small sign on one of the doors as we were leaving saying it was cash only, so lesson learned. Couldn't see an ATM in there either, so we were just lucky that we had cash. Not the most convenient way for many people to complete their transactions in this day and age when most people don't carry cash at all. Otherwise, great place & recommend!

We can't say enough great things about the Crystal Bell B&B and their owner Donna and Mike! We…read morewere referred to Crystal Bell by a friend who said the B&B is charming and the owners are wonderful, even that didn't prepare us for the amazing experience we had at Crystal Bell. Donna and Mike renovated the entire house and put their personal touches in the most thoughtful ways. The place is meticulously cleaned, decorated, and organized. We were greeted with home made cookies and offered wide range of delicious drinks by Donna, followed by a tour of the house when Donna and Mike shared with us the history of the house, it immediately impressed my husband and I how much they love to host their guests and how much they love the place. They have VERY high standards for themselves on the experience they want their guests to have. They have everything you could ever need on a trip ready for you where/when you need it, Mike even offered me a leg pillow! The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfy. The next morning, our breakfast was egg ham croissants, rhubarb shortcakes and grapefruits, all sorts of beverages options, and to top it off, each of us were given a piece of freshly baked pastry for our long drive back to Chicago. I use Yelp frequently but rarely wrote reviews. I feel compelled to write about Donna and Mike and their lovely B&B. Highly recommend this place for a home away from home, whether for a girlfriend weekend getaway, family reunions and other group functions, they truly embody MidWest warmth and hospitality!
