When she was in her infant room, Ms. Christine was kind and patient. She engaged her both emotionally and physically. Im sure that my daughter reached all her milestones early because her teachers worked so hard with her. Now my daughter is in the toddler classroom and she is obsessed with Ms. Lidia and Ms. Danielle. She calls for them by name on the weekends. I feel so safe and comfortable knowing that these 2 women are taking care of my daughter. In addition to all the love and care she get, I am so beyond impressed with the menu my daughter I served everyday. She eats such a diverse menu of foods that I couldn't possible recreate in my house!

We originally chose the Goddard School because of their covid procedures, way back in 2020-2021,…read morethat were very strict. Throughout then, till now, we have been beyond satisfied with their organization, safety protocols (protests, covid, etc.), food selections/variety/nutrition (organic, etc.), communication (frequency, methods and accuracy) and most importantly the teachers. The people and systems that really hold everything together to give the opportunity to forster fun and learning. From Lowest Aged Classrooms - Ms. Victoria and Ms. Molly - both so kind, gentle and understanding, which at a younger age, really what kids need. They take note of important things like food intake, health, sign language, and even smaller (but life hack tips) items such as good sippy cups to use, etc. Ms. Monica and Ms. Destiny - they had our (first) son at a very challenging age and really were his first teachers at Goddard. They worked with him to achieve so many milestones. He loves them both dearly! They were upbeat, so dedicated and really got him out of his shell (and may I add out of many bad moods)! We can never thank them enough! Ms. Philena and Ms. Tiana - Both great teachers! Ms. Tiana is so sweet and caring. She keeps kids calm and speaks to them in such a way that they really open up to her. Mrs. Philena is also great, she speaks to the kids like little adults, and helps them to achieve milestones, such as staying dry after a nap, etc. She communicates (as she was the late night teacher) to the parents at pick up about the happenings of the day! Ms. O and Ms. Nina - Ms. O is a model teacher - as she must be for the age she teaches is when they start to get a little "smart"! She is firm and challenges them (holds them accountable) as well as relates to them on a friend level. Ms. Nina is so warm! She knows the unseen things such as if they may have to use the bathroom, or if they are in any type of "mood." She gets to know each kid and treats them as if they were her own. The administration really runs a tight ship - there is never a slip-up. Kellyanne, Yolanda, Sylvia and Emily they are all highly efficient whether it be getting the daily reports, communicating sicknesses/incidents, holidays, or crazy things that parents ask for like pictures of how big the chunks of food their kid are eating (guilty), or swiftly getting ....snacks or throw up off the floor (the sheer number of things that they handle I am sure I only know a small fraction). They basically are the neck to the (very heavy!) head. We could not be happier about the quality of teachers at the Goddard School to entrust them with the foundational years of our children.

I will never forget when we first discovered the school. We knew that we had found the right place for our 2-year-old to begin her educational journey - the worry was over! Having now experienced three years with BCPS I can say without hesitation that I'm even more impressed. Each and every teacher and assistant reflects Ms. Jackie's care and dedication to the children along with her commitment to high standards in teaching and cultivating the children. We sincerely love them all. Lastly, I am thrilled to report our daughter will be continuing her education in the fall at Marymount in the UES. We couldn't have done that without BCPS - it was undoubtedly a team effort. We look forward to staying in touch and wish continued success to the school and any wonderful child who attends there.

Great school, great programs including music, art, science, and social classes from preschools to higher grades. As a parent, I'm very impressed and the kids are happier here. But they both are fantastic! I was so worried... sending my baby to Pre-K, but they immediately put my mind at ease and my son learned so much and blossomed amazingly under their loving care and guidance!! There were field trips almost every single month (apple picking, pumpkin picking, shows and performances and local colleges, etc.) and the parents were allowed to go as chaperones, which to me is priceless!!!! We attended through the Universal Pre-K program, but they offer full time nursery/toddler and pre-k classes as well as after school programs, too!!! Highly recommend them!!!

Every single adult who works at this school is amazing and caring. The director walks the hall every morning greeting the students, all of whom know him by name. The teachers were carefully hired and clearly love their students. My daughter had a tough time adjusting to school - the teachers were patient and caring and provided enough support to get her through those rough times. The director was encouraging and after a pretty difficult separation one morning told me to call him when I got to work so that he would Skype me to see my daughter and make sure she was doing well. This is the type of family you wish you could leave your children with. This place provides quality UPK using a play based and hands on approach to learning. This is rare in an age where academics with heavily on education. Our Savior ignited my daughter's curiosity. There was no pressure on her to learn to read for example; as a matter of fact there were no lessons at all. So I was pleasantly surprised when she picked up a book one day and simply started reading! She was learning through play, which is how all children should learn. I am devastated that the year is winding down to a close, but feel fortunate and blessed that we found a place that really helped my daughter grow. We will always have fond memories and I look forward to sending my second daughter there when it's time for prek!

She began just before her 2nd birthday with some verbal skills, and has completely blossomed while at the school. All the teachers and administrators are so friendly, welcoming and know each child by name (regardless of class they are in, everyone knows each other across the entire school) as well as most is the parents! The learning activities they put together are tied right into to key skills, and we have come home so impressed that at 4 our daughter already knows what "germination" is having learned about it in the Dragonflies class. Good food is provided for breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks, and you can drop off as early as 7:30am and pick up as late as 6:15 which is unheard of for most daycares. They know pretty much all the families are working and so try and make things as easy as possible to handle that working parent life. They also have a large backyard for outdoor play as well as rec room / gym with a rock climbing wall so the children get lots of exercise and fresh air. We could not have been happier with the education and care our daughter has received and we continue to sing Sunshine 3rd Ave's praises to everyone in the East Harlem community we meet. Thank you Sunshine!!!

Another thing is that this school doesn't take care of bullying. Terrible kids pick on nice people for no reason and the school doesn't do anything about it other than telling the victims to ignore them, but once a student stands up for themselves, they see it as a problem. And that's not an over exaggeration. I have experienced this multiple times in this school and so have many students. The teachers are insane as well, as they treat these kids as if they are in a concentration camp, yelling at them for doing something as yawning. And that's no joke. I remember a teacher making someone defecate their pants because she wouldn't let them go to the bathroom and she had the audacity to get mad at him.
