The Goddard School has a great curriculum that is both challenging and fun. The teachers are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about early education, and they are always working to find new and innovative ways to engage the students. The Goddard School also has a wonderful social environment. The children are encouraged to be friendly and helpful to one another, and they learn how to resolve conflicts in a healthy way. This is such an important skill, and the Goddard School does an excellent job of teaching it. Overall, we have been extremely happy with The Goddard School in New York. Our children have learned a lot and have had a lot of fun too. We would highly recommend it to any family looking for a great preschool experience.

When she was in her infant room, Ms. Christine was kind and patient. She engaged her both emotionally and physically. Im sure that my daughter reached all her milestones early because her teachers worked so hard with her. Now my daughter is in the toddler classroom and she is obsessed with Ms. Lidia and Ms. Danielle. She calls for them by name on the weekends. I feel so safe and comfortable knowing that these 2 women are taking care of my daughter. In addition to all the love and care she get, I am so beyond impressed with the menu my daughter I served everyday. She eats such a diverse menu of foods that I couldn't possible recreate in my house!

As a first time parent, we found that there aren't a ton of daycare facilities in our area with reviews so it made the search for one a bit lengthy on our end. We are extremely happy with our decision as is she and the quality of care speaks for itself!

They took trips to the park when the weather was nice and celebrated birthdays and holidays all year long. They taught our baby boy so many things! He loved their songs and knows all the movements to the "wheels on the bus." He learned to eat with a fork. They also follow a structured routine that children find comforting because they know what to expect during the day. Each child gets a lot of individualized attention - the teachers get down on the floor and play with the children. This was important to us because children learn through play: making cars move, opening boxes, stacking blocks, etc. The teachers were genuine and they were engaged in developing each child's curiosity and creativity. We recently had to move and were sad to say goodbye to this magical place, but we feel so lucky that our son got off to a great start there.

My wife and I toured this place, and others, when we were checking out daycares. One of the biggest reasons why my wife and I chose this place is because the children seem like they have fun. When we visited, the kids were socializing and playing with each other. In other daycares, the children seem subdued and withdrawn and not as playful. In fact, some of the children recognize me now and walk up to me to say hi or share their toy when I go pick up my daughter. I think their friendliness is partly due to how they're treated here. My child loves this place. I enrolled my daughter when she was about 2.5 years old. There was of course and adjustment period, but shortly after two weeks, my daughter became used to the idea of coming here and even looking forward to it. I have no doubt the extra TLC that the staff gave her the first few weeks contributed to her feeling welcome. I think dropping my daughter off became harder for me than it was for her (conceal, dont feel). She's been enrolled here over a year now. She comes home with art projects that they do in class, I catch her singing songs that I know she learned while in school here. She tells me about her friends and the types of games they play. She recently told me that she needs to start bringing a toy for show and tell on Fridays. The staff here is very warm and considerate. Unlike other daycares where the teachers are college students or young adults, you can tell that the teachers here have children of their own. They will treat your child as if he or she was one of their own as well.

I will never forget when we first discovered the school. We knew that we had found the right place for our 2-year-old to begin her educational journey - the worry was over! Each and every teacher and assistant reflects Ms. Jackie's care and dedication to the children along with her commitment to high standards in teaching and cultivating the children. We sincerely love them all. Lastly, I am thrilled to report our daughter will be continuing her education in the fall at Marymount in the UES. We couldn't have done that without BCPS - it was undoubtedly a team effort. We look forward to staying in touch and wish continued success to the school and any wonderful child who attends there.

I went to register my child and no one was there at the front desk to greet me. As I patiently waited I was able to observe class room 1 (the infant room) to the left of the elevator. and all children were in cribs crying, while unattended with the lights on. When some one finally came to greet me, it was about 10 to 15 minutes into my observation. The director told me the children were napping. I told her about my observation and that the lights were on. It was approximately 11:35 am. I asked to see infant schedule to confirm naptime, and I was denied. She told me if I register my child I will see it. She was very rude and suggested I dont register my child if I had any complaints. I wasnt at all rude neither did I complain. I was only concerned and had a few questions. I realize everyone is entitled to their own opinion and or views so I chose not to go back and forth with her or or enroll my child. I came across these reviews of Seton Day Care and couldn't resist adding our story to the reviews. Their continued endurance is definitely an indicator of what excellent quality daycare embodies. I WILL FOREVER be grateful for the excellent care and love, my sons received at Seton Day Care & Pre-school so many years ago. At the time they were enrolled, my youngest was only 11 months, in pampers, and non-verbal. His older brother was 2 years old and very precocious. We had just suffered the loss of their father, my husband, to an aneurysm and I was a full-time school teacher in NYC. Knowing they were safe, actively engaged in learning, and happy as I dropped them off each morning, seemed to make the world a little easier to maneuver. Excellent teachers, physical space, and a dyno director were just a few of the amenities all mothers crave for their pre-schoolers. I'm not surprised that there are few reviews posted and that there is an unfortunately long waiting list. Pre-schools like Seton Day Care don't require or depend on written reviews. This pre-school is on an island by itself when it comes to parents knocking down its doors to get their pre-schoolers in. Still a Very Grateful Mom, Debra

I agree with the previous poster in terms of the admissions process you definitely need to check in frequently to see if a spot will be open. Once in, my daughter has received a lot of care and attention. They were able to tell that my daughter had a development delay and suggested that I get services for her through the city. Now with the combination of Seton education and the therapy, she has closed much of that gap. Students are consistently involved in working on projects, learning to participate in class discussions, and physical activities like dancing and sports. The style of education is Montessori for those that are interested. So it is tough to get in, but overall I feel it is well worth the effort.
