The staff members were all very kind to me and I enjoyed being around them. I especially enjoyed Ms. Peacock. The only main issue that I had was a teacher/assistant named Sashi. She was extremely verbally abusive and terrified me. She would yell at me often for small issues, such as straying a bit far from the group. I would be berated by Sashi on multiple occasions and witnessed her doing the same to other kids. One time, I was restless during nap time and couldn't fall asleep. As a "punishment," I was not allowed to have snack time. At the time, I didn't understand that this behavior was not okay and was too scared to tell my parents. I am unsure if Sashi still works here, but I hope not. Another major issue is improper care for animals. There were two turtles named Buddy and Sprint. They were kept in an incredibly small tank. One of the turtles was a female and none of the staff knew that, leading to them having an egg. The egg was TAKEN OUT OF THE TANK, put in a plastic container with dirt and left in the sun. Changing the orientation of turtle eggs can cause the turtle's growth to be stunted.

Once my kids started at CHBS, their Japanese language skill sky rocketed.
