Kim and Ralph are kind and patient, and they care for the kids as if they're their own. They plan fun, developmentally-appropriate activities each day, tailored to the kids' interests, and they have a HUGE shaded backyard to play in during the warmer months. They're also great communicators. Kim always let me know how my son did during the day, and, when asked, she gives great advice about managing the many baby and toddler transitions (e.g., starting solids, sleeping issues, discipline). My son absolutely LOVES it there, and he's rarely ready to leave when I pick him up at the end of the day. In fact, he talks about Kim and Ralph and his daycare friends all weekend long. We don't have family in the area, but Kim and Ralph have become like our extended family. I truly don't know what we'd do without them, and I highly, highly recommend them.

I feel so strongly about how great this school is that I am also on the board, as it is a non-profit. They treat the teachers with the respect that they deserve and don't send them home without pay when the numbers are down for the day. If the numbers are down, our kids get more interaction with more teachers. Did I mention how great the teachers are! My daughter has thrived at CCL and loves going to "school" everyday. You do have to walk up stairs as the space is rented from the church, but that has actually taught my daughter stair safety at a very early age. I cannot recommend CCL highly enough. The space is a bit dated, but they have tons of toys for the kids and they love it, so don't let the space fool you, this place is great.

Once my kids started at CHBS, their Japanese language skill sky rocketed. My 4 year old went from somewhat understanding what I was saying to him in Japanese, to being able to speak to me in Japanese 100%. He also learned to read and write during his time there. I also have to say the quality of the teachers and program are top notch. You cannot find a better daycare than this one.

LPC has truly become part of our family (so much so that we return for alumni events each year!!). The staff, including the new director Karen, are doing a wonderful job creating a play-based environment where children are encouraged to be curious, imaginative, and kind. Both of our children thrived at LPC. They developed confidence, independence, curiosity, and meaningful friendships in an environment where they felt safe, supported, and genuinely cared for. That doesn't look like pure coincidence to me at all. A truly safe and well-managed daycare should address parents' safety and communication concerns directly, rather than PR management. ORIGINAL COMMENT: Our experience at LPC was disappointing, especially considering the cost. What concerned us most was the lack of transparency and communication when issues arose. Over a relatively short period of time, our child came home with multiple injuries, and we often felt we were not getting clear explanations about what had happened. Some incidents were not documented, and attempts to discuss our concerns did not lead to productive conversations. We also noticed a level of stress and low morale among staff that made us uncomfortable. Every family has to make their own decision, but based on our experience, we would not choose this center again. Not recommended at all.

I absolutely love the structure it provides the kids while exposing them to educational material in a fun and engaging way. For example, my daughter recently came home with a "gravity painting" which was paint dripping down a piece of paper. What a great idea!! The teachers are all so warm and friendly, which is such a comfort when leaving your child there all day. They always have smiles on their faces and are ready to be silly with them. On more than one occasion, my daughter has been sad because she "misses Miss Melissa" or "misses Miss Tiffany." I feel so lucky I found the School for Early Excellence!!
