Most which had been more than 5 years ago, and it appears a lot has changed since then. That said, I have to do my due diligence to leave a review. I had enrolled my son (7) to KKRB in 2023 for the convenience it is across the street from Riverview Elementary where he attends school. We want the best care for our cubs, right? So we scope out the ideal place with the people that provide the proper care for our babies. At the beginning I had found the staff to all be very kind, caring, and compassionate with all that they do. Gradually, overtime, I kept receiving reports that my son is defiant, bothersome to others, and it's your son, your son, your son. The bigger picture? My son's needs weren't met (he has asthma, doesn't want to play outside and was urged to be outside). As he may be defiant or bothersome to others, I empathize the annoyance of such behavior, but he has special needs. He is formally diagnosed not just with one diagnoses, but with two. The staff was informed, but in the course of time, I felt unwelcoming vibes and the off energy of wanting to be there to care for my son. My son verbalized he hates it there, and others are mean to him. I know my son has a lack of interest, too transparent, and non-participant of activities. BUT he has ADHD and Autism. He isn't a victim of these, nor does this define him. However, I believe all staff should be educated in the care of kids with special needs not just with my sons' diagnosis, but with any kid that comes through those doors for your services. People who work/care for kids should be certified or educated with the tools on how to manage these types of babies/kids. We all need to be made aware and educated than to be ignorance of the stigma in that it is the kids behaviors and not the care providers. Only then, we can foster an environment for kid's personal and developmental growth. Thank you!

I just had the most awful experience. I am really disappointed. I called various sites in Clovis…read morearea to find this Austin site had 3 full days. I told them that my son is three and still has a hard time transitioning to pooping on the toilet. He doesn't feel comfortable. He literally is outta diapers and then begs me to put a diaper on so he can poop. Working on that with him. He doesn't have issues at night for 9-10 hours or during naps. He poops once a day. I told them that he's getting better and I expect him to be out of diapers completely by one month. They were so understanding on the phone. Told me they have a class of 19 with two teachers and since he's not 4 yet they would help and it wouldn't be an issue. I drove here today and I am literally guessing but more than likely this is true. Everything they told me over the phone was not true. They did not have the three full days open, she told me to start when he's fully potty trained and I felt so very uncomfortable the entire time. I felt as if it was due to his religion/ race I got some special unwanted treatment. I myself grew up experiencing racism but not like this. I was born in England and lived most of my life in the states. I have immigrant parents and I felt some racism here and there but not like this or maybe I don't remember. I was hurt that the conversation on the phone one day before was different than what I experienced. One of the girls working there told me that should would put a hold on the days for me for 24 hours. Today I drove here for a completely unknown experience that was full of run around statements. I have worked with kids and I was a nicu nurse for years. I been busy with grad school and he's just having pooping issues. He doesn't have accidents and he's still learning. I know their statements were all excuses. This was so sad to experience for me. I expected better. I will never recommend this place to family and friends. They loss some business. I hope they read this and will do better. There are no excuses for this behavior for kids. I checked out another day care who were way nicer in town. If I am an adult and you treat me like I am an idiot then I can't imagine how you would treat my son when I am not there.

My son goes to Brighten Academy. He has been going their for a year. We started him about 3 months…read moreafter age 2 due to the wait list. There are a couple of great things I would like to highlight. 1. They learn things in themes which is so cool. He came home this week and was telling me about camping and the stuff we would need. We have never been camping but he comes home with new information. 2. He didn't have to be potty trained. They helped us and we tried at home. Personally I think he took longer because his little brother was born when he was 2 1/2 so it was a huge transition in life for him. 3. I don't have to pack him a lunch. Some schools I looked into I had to pack a lunch. Honestly I am so busy that adding one more thing before I go to bed or to do in the morning is rough. I already pack all my pumping supplies daily in order to feed his little brother. Now here is the thing that makes the school truly exceptional... they know everyone's name. When I walk in the door, the front desk and the teachers all know my son and every other kids' names. That is just awesome. There is a reason why they are the people's choice. Unfortunately the worst experiences endured. Director or…read morelack of, was very disconnected. During our very short stay after a long waiting period consisted of our child only attending 37% of the paid time due to sickness. One time resulting in contracting RSV. The staff was compromised due to lack of direction and or positive affirmation from the director. It cost me more money to have my child out sick than him being there. Most importantly my child's well being. They even forgot to feed my infant for 5 1/2 hours and laid him in a crib to scream himself to sleep. To remedy we stuck reminder stickers with feeding times "feed me at 7:30" . I pray the State looks into this establishment. One benefit was the regional director. Her influence on the center could not be implemented due to her subordinates. If you care for your child DO NOT LET THEM CARE FOR YOUR CHILDREN.

My daughter has been at this KinderCare for the past four months. She started when she was four…read moremonths old. Previous to this, she was at a different local daycare. Needless to say, we were less than satisfied at her previous daycare. Although that particular daycare provided live streaming of the infant room (which was a large selling point for me at the time), I found myself constantly distracted by the footage while at work mainly because I was concerned about the level of care she was receiving. It became quite disruptive to my workday. This previous daycare required that I write them each morning to tell them what time I would be dropping off my daughter. Anyone who has small children knows how chaotic and unpredictable the morning routine can be, and this became an added stress. Despite dropping my daughter off after they opened, I would be met with obvious sighs and eye rolls from staff if I showed up before 8am. Additionally, this previous daycare would frequently call and have me leave my work early to pick up my daughter for being "fussy," insisting she was sick when she wasn't (I am a doctor, so I can actually tell these things). All of these factors contributed to us moving to KinderCare and I have no doubt in my mind that we made the right decision. From the moment we entered KinderCare for a tour, I was blown away. They are a well-oiled machine and the process of drop offs and pick ups is streamlined. Their professionalism and communication are unmatched. I feel like my daughter gets so much care and attention from the staff. It honestly feels like she is with family when I take her to KinderCare. I love that we get periodic updates and photos throughout the day without the added pressure of livestream, which actually can be more of a burden than a help. I feel like the price is more than reasonable for the care our daughter receives. She has continued to thrive at KinderCare. She is meeting all of her developmental milestones and she couldn't be happier or healthier. So glad we made the switch to KinderCare!
