Food wasn't great the chicken was very dry. The blackened shrimp was rubbery and salty.

Wasn't good but not bad. It wasn't fishy. We got a cajun whitefish and a lemon pepper. It wasn't flaky, a bit mushy like it wasn't cooked on a high enough temperature. Food is very good. I had fried shrimp w French fries and coleslaw. Plenty of shrimp and nice n hot. Cole slaw tasted sweet and home made. Service was very good. It was a very busy night and out waitress took the order and got the job done. When she got busy another person brought what was ready to the table. We were a party of 6 so it was a big order. Ambiance is home town warmth and friendliness. Adam (owner)came to the table to greet us and make sure we were happy and content. Plenty of access To lottery and Keno if that interests you as well. The food is solid here. Never any surprises. It's always the same. Staff works their tails off. Place is always packed. In part because of lack of choices, but also because you can't really go wrong. Not a very nice place. Waitstaff is extremely rude. You think they would treat customers better because of the super scary virus but this restaurant must not need the business. I didn't want to write a bad review but the way they treated my family I couldn't resist. They pick and chose which COVID rules to follow. They wear masks below their nose but won't let 4 adults and 4 small kids sit together. I will never eat here and I will tell my friends and family to never eat here either. Friendly staff. Good food. Fair prices. Eaten there several times. Last time my wife and I had appetizers. There onion rings are the best.

Delicious burgers, chicken and anything you order will hit the spot! They have awesome pizza and steak and a nice bar.

Very poor service. The dining room is not a priority to the servers. The bar is where they are at constantly. Third time today for us trying this restaurant and not only poor service, but the food has not been good for the most part either. The pizza was good, but other entrées we have ordered were overcooked, undercooked, and even rancid tasting due to grease or other issues. We won't be back! read more

I have stopped by and sat at the bar every week for the past month. If you are a local and the bartenders know you it seems like a nice place to hang out. If you are not local and don't know the bartenders or owner, you will be ignored and disappointed. The bartenders shift their time between servicing the locals and doing jobs a minimum wage Bar Back should be doing for them. If you are not local the bartenders will not make eye contact with you and you will be waiting for a drink or a second order of fish. If you like to play keno and are not local, forget about it, you'll be a burden to the bartenders. Don't sit at the bar. Grab a table and maybe you'll get better service. I'm trying something new. Very mean management manager yelled at us and my party, my dining experience was not good with lack of food quality. This place use to be an ok place to get food (only deep fried food place )but it has gone down hill. ** if u go there, and the do have daily specials but u should call and ask before going there because they will decided to not offer specials when and make up rules. We have always had friendly service at the Camp whether having breakfast or dinner. The food is good for casual dining. If your a dinner salad person you must try the Southwest chicken salad. The lettuce was fresh and not just iceberg! It was served with salsa, sour cream, and a generous portion of ranch dressing. It was big enough to take home half of it as well. The only issue i have going there is that their wifi never works and it seems as though its located in a dead zone for AT&T cell phone...I can't text or call unless i go outside and stand near the road. read more

Normally a great place to hang out, except after a Michigan loss. OSU blew out U of M and the Walmart Wolverines were upset and turned on the music as a response to the MSU game that just started. Sorry but no Bowl game for you Walmart Wolverines... moved on to another bar for now. read more

After a total disaster at the Elk Lake Bar we went to The Camp and enjoyed dinner served by a happy, friendly waitress within 15-20 minutes of the order! Needless to say after waiting over an hour we were very hungry! No wonder Elk is up for sale, needs management, could be an awesome lakeside restaurant. read more

Great bartenders and servers. Large menu, so I am only speaking from limited experience. I'd say 3-4 stars for comparable restaurants. The grinders need work. Pricing is on par, and portions are large. I will be back. read more

Went there for dinner after a long day of playing Lumber Jack! I ordered the Hot Roast Beef Sandwich. Tell you what, I got a Lumber Jack size meal. Not only was it filling, but damn good too!! My server was friendly and on point, smiling the entire time. Washed everything down with a "few" amber ale's. I plan on going back! Worst service ever! I took my family of 6 here for breakfast on July 5th. The waitress did not explain the new "buffet", nor did she explain the up charges for pancakes, and hashbrowns, which we assumed were on the buffet. With three of us ordering the same items, the up charges totaled more than $20! Our breakfast bill for 6 people was $80! We asked our waitress to please offer us a small discount, since the "buffet" was not well explained (if all 6 of us were confused, then she didn't explain it correctly!). The waitress spoke to the Manager, and the Manager said "no" to any discount. Not even $5! Our waitress snidely walked away from our table and behind her back said "have a nice day". At this point, we were not being rude at all, but she decided to take it up a level. So, I asked to speak to the Manager, who, with the same crappy attitude said to me "You're the only one who's had a problem understanding the buffet. No one else has had a problem". When I persisted that she never once said we would be charged extra, then he grabbed the bill from my hand and said "FINE! I'LL TAKE OFF THE UP CHARGES, SINCE YOU'RE TOO CHEAP TO PAY YOUR BILL!". Too "cheap"??? Are you kidding me? I was totally willing to pay for what we ate. But 6 people did not eat $80 worth of breakfast, and had we known about the up charges, or that we'd get a plate of stuff that we did not want, then we would not have ordered the buffet. This was a miscommunication from YOUR staff, not us! Furthermore, you should NEVER treat your repeat customers this way! I was humiliated that he yelled across the restaurant for every customer to hear him! Having been a restaurant manager in the my past, I would have fired him on the spot! It's very unfortunate, because I'm a huge proponent of supporting local, Michigan businesses, I always tip very well, and I am always more understanding and patient than most customers (since I myself worked in the restaurant business for 10 years). You really need to do something about the bad attitudes of your staff and management, and how they address customer issues. And unless you explain it correctly, including the up charges, you need to call it a "PLATTER", not a buffet! Never been treated so rudely at a restaurant in my life! read more

Had been hearing good things about this place for years and I was not disappointed. The service was good, the place was pretty clean, and the food was fabulous. I had the fish and chips. The serving was huge and it was greasy for fried food. My companions had an amazing looking pizza. The atmosphere is a bit cafeteria-like, but we didn't have to wait in line. read more

Good food. I can highly recommend the blackened fish. Friday night fish and chips special is also very good. Casual environment with a very well trained wait staff. On my last visit they were very busy and still managed to seat a party if 16 without a reservation. Service was excellent. A great place for lunch or dinner. read more
