I think I answered a couple of questions. One thing I didn't like about other dog trainers that I tried was all the games and confusing dog training style .With my very first appointment with them, they knew the problem and got on it immediately to help me and my lab. They were very good with helping me when I wasn't quite sure if I was doing the right thing. They are amazing. I took every class they recommended. I also did doggie day care with training two days a week for a month. I now have the very best relationship with my boy. I also realized the second class would be the day after Labor Day which company would be here visiting. So the morning of the first "evening" puppy class I called Training Spot, explained my dilemma of a sick pup and company explaining we'd miss two classes. I asked if we could switch to a few private classes, I was willing to pay extra, was NOT asking for a refund. They would NOT accommodate me, I had to give at least a 48 hour notice. Period. If only my puppy could have given me a 48 hour notice she was going to be sick. Would not recommend.

She has helped us with three very different dog personalities and sizes from a feisty/possessive 10 lb chihuahua to a submissive yet reactive 66 lb German Shepherd (and our little 14 lb terrier that just needs a little tweaking here and there). Julia's training style is not a positive/treat rewarding style per say-it's somewhat of a balance of btwn selective positive rewarding for "tricks" or abnormal behaviors (or fears) and quick corrections with tools (either a stick/extension of your arm or a specific style collar/leash that fits the needs of your dog). All 3 of our dogs have a different leash/collar & works perfect for each of them. The type of training is also about the mind set you're in. You don't wait to make corrections when they've done something wrong so many times that you're angry. You need to be focused and serious when you do have to correct. She also got us to kennel train when we're away which we didn't think would work out too well with our two small ones that have free roamed forever, but all three actually do very well and even sleep in there when we're home. Bottom line is if you're looking for a positive reward training only- that's not this. But if you're looking for something that strikes a balance but still allows you a great bond with your dog- then definitely try B the Leader.

We've had fantastic service from Makensay and Wheeler. They are knowledgeable, extremely helpful and so nice. They are always busy yet they are always happy to help you. I really didn't expect the staff at a chain store to be that knowledgeable but the ones working in the department have or have had fish of their own and know what they're doing. I do recommend Petco for fish and aquarium supplies. They are great.

My husband picked him up and the groomer told him she was not able to do his nails nor did they need it. I've not cut them in 6 months and they are sharp needing done. Lastly there is no want he was brushed out as there was a small cars worth of fur in his kennel from the ride home. Money and time wasted since I now have to do his nail's myself and brush him out.
