Absolutely everything is delicious and no trip to the Blue Mountains is complete without a Glenbrook bakery drive-by. (Ask my friends, it drives them nuts.) If you're in the mood for lunch-related items, go the quiche. There are a few delish varieties to choose from and you can buy smaller ones for one belly ($3.50 each) or to share ($15). There are plenty of loaves of fresh bread to take away for a picnic too. If you're after a sweetener, I'd highly recommend the gingerbread men (they've got the texture perfect - the best crunch/chew ratio I've ever tasted!). There are also huge wedges of caramel slice (they could be shared between about three or four people), packets of cookies, coconut slice and chocolate brownies. It's a cute little shop with a few tables and chairs outside, or if you're visiting on a weekend, take your treats with you as your browse the markets across the road. Perfection.

If it survives my dissection and eating process it is a goodun' The top came off in one flakey piece. The pepper meat filling was mildly peppery and filled the case. That is the bit I eat first, then the casing and finally the top. Beautiful. The dining buddy's seconds was an American chilli beef. I got a bit of a lookin with that one and it was good too. We finished with an iced coffee and it was bloody good too. Disadvantages of the place is that you could find yourself sitting in a draughty walkway and finding a park is a challenge. It is definitely worth the effort to give it a try

Went for a swim aroumd Camden way and was keen for something sweet in the area and this place was my first choice seeing as it hit the spot the last time :D. Last time i was here i had a tasty dinner next door at Antico pizza and then came over here for dessert, got me caramel fusge crepes and choc fudge brownie, both were super tasty more so the crepe cause I'm a pancake kinda guy :D!! This time around i got the weekly special frozen custard which was butterscotch and i got some mix its tossed in with it :). Just like cold rock but with Frozen custard, also got a gooey fudge caramely cookie in a skillet with vanilla custard on the side :D!! Truth be told I'm a big eater but even this tasty cookie felt a bit heavy on the hips lucky for 2 mates to help me out with it :)! The girls that work there are super friendly and very keen to help your way aroun the menu on what they have on offer :) By the way the coffee is nothing to write home about .. but you would be much better off with a juice, soft drink or their tasty thick shake mixes they have on offer :)!! For the totally different as per usual dessert place but yet very tasty dessert it is an easy 4 stars for me, definitely my got to sweetness treat for my many more adventures out in the western side :D!!

Their custards are ok, it's nice that you can add whatever you want to them to make them a wee bit more interesting. However I would stick with their custards and don't deviate from that. My partner wanted a frozen custard the other night and I thought I'd love a hot chocolate because I was cold. What I got was hot water with powdered chocolate in it. No milk. It was disgusting. So bear in mind when you go here to just get what they are known for. Custard. You should be fine with that.

The workers here are jubilant, are attentive to their customer's needs, and are lovely with their regulars. The pies themselves were flavorful. The upper crust of all of them was marvelous-- buttery, flaky, and melts in your mouth. The filling was superb too; not over or under spiced. Just right. Food magazines call this the best pie joint in Sydney. I can see why!

If our mashed peas beef pie n butter chicken pie are any indication to the rest they have to offer, i will be back to sample the rest of their lovingly crafted pies. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

I had decided to do a high tea, after my daughters Baptism, and though I can make some sweet things petit fours, in particular mini tartlets, are definitely not one of them. I ordered 100 mini tartlets. We had mixed berry, salted caramel, chocolate ganache, and lemon meringue every single one was delicious. Last minute, I also asked Susanne if it was possible to make a cake. Though she advised me she didn't normally do cakes at such short notice the cake that she created was absolutely exquisite!!! It was a salted caramel naked cake and everyone thought it was superb. Moist yet light and very flavourful. I highly recommend The Art of Baking, I couldn't be happier with the service and the product that was provided. Thank you.

Of course the bakery offers the usual goods; crunchy French bread sticks, fresh soft rolls and sweet caramel slice, but it was the meat pies that kept the locals returning. I used to feel that those delicious, crispy meat pies were my reward for my good behaviour in church, but now I realise it was just my mother's way of feeding the family with decent, delicious food without having to go through the trouble of cooking it herself. For only $3.20 each, the bakery offers a wide selection of flavours to suit everyone's tastebuds. From original beef pies, to mushroom and gravy and the even more exotic curry pies, nothing beats the traditional Shepherd's pie, a pocket of pastry filled with steaming gravy and beef, topped with a potato lid and baked to crispy perfection. Maybe I was just a little kid with underdeveloped tastebuds. Maybe I'm just being nostalgic, but either way there isn't a thing I would give to take those delicious memories away.
