I asked for a 3 tier cheesecake with strawberry jam and strawberries (very simple). Paid way too much money for something an amateur could do. Also the cheesecake was frozen when we were trying to cut it. Was not happy at all. I would give 0 stars but heard if you give less than 2 stars, it's easier to get the review removed. I've had multiple negative experiences with this bakery, and I'm honestly shocked that they continue to win awards. The staff are rude, argumentative, and communicate very poorly.My brother paid them in full months ago for my nephew's birthday cake, even showing them pictures of exactly what he wanted. They promised they could make it. But on Saturday, August 23rd--the very day he was supposed to pick it up--they called to say they didn't know how to make the cake after all. Completely unprofessional. This isn't the first problem, either. Back in December, I ordered my niece's birthday cake and specifically told them I did not want the bitter icing they had previously given me. They ignored that request, and the cake came out with the same bitter icing. I texted them about it and, to this day, have never received any response. Between the lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and failure to deliver what was promised, I will not be ordering from them again. If I could, give them zero star I would. read more

She was Rude and I got the impression that if you didn't look like you had money, she just wasn't interested. Her prices are insane for what you get and honestly the taste wasn't great either. After reading other reviews, we dodged a bullet because apparently communication is not something they are even remotely good at. The Cake Lady (Anna) was extraordinary and I heard from word of mouth and her website, and of course Dainty Obsessions Magazine that she was a pro cake maker that specialized in wedding cakes and other different types of unique cakes! Of course for my wedding I had to have something that was different than all the rest of the cakes out there which Anna was happy to do! Considering I was an out of state person I was impressed that Anna was able to keep up with requests and was happy to have only so many discussions about the cake (instead of me having to email and call her like some of the other vendors I would have to check up on). My favorite part about the whole process had to be the tasting which I did with my mother. Anna was accommodating and helped me develop how our cake would end up looking like in the end. I was thoroughly impressed and I would recommend her to anyone who needs a custom cake. She also helped us figure out at what temperature the cake would have to be kept at and made sure that we knew what we needed to know. The cake turned out delicious, and everything we hoped for! Unfortunately due to some disgruntled relatives we didn't get to take our cake home for they gave it away at the hotel to someone we didn't even know. We are hoping that Anna can be able to make us an anniversary cake and send it down to us here in Texas! We love her that much! read more

The cake was ordered for a smaller event (and was not cheap). The cake was pretty with an overly sweet buttercream frosting. The "chocolate mousse" filling seemed to be the same grocery store-esque frosting with a small amount of cocoa powder stirred in. It was barely even brown and hardly qualified as chocolate. The cake texture was on the drier side and I could not pick up on the almond flavor that it was supposed to be. The strawberry cake filling was again just the buttercream with a barely there aftertaste of strawberry and was a very light shade of pink. The cream cheese frosting maybe had a slight tang? The lemon cake was the best as you could tell it was slightly lemon flavored but the lemon curd filing had a weird flavor to it. I'm not sure if the Cake Lady just phoned this one in and turns out better cakes for weddings or what but it was super disappointing. read more
