The Bush Hut in Wentworth Falls is a true escape. The room is magnificent. The huge windows and the sunlight coming in makes you feel like you have truely woken up in the treetops. Lotje loves her bush hut and loves sharing it with guests. The small things from lighting the fire and keeping it going to being available for anything you need. My girlfriend and I had such an amazing weekend at the bush hut! The room is so beautiful, with large windows looking over the lush garden. The fireplace keeps the room nice and warm and is so cosy. Lotje was such an amazing host and was very respectful of our privacy. It really felt like we were all alone at the property. We were lucky to see and hear many of the native birds. A tribe of kookaburras and a male and female bower bird being highlights. There's also so many great bush walks nearby. The Grand Canyon walk at Blackheath is definitely very worthwhile. Could not recommend this place enough if you're making a trip to the blue mountains! read more

This place is a rare gem. Incredibly well located at the trailhead for Darwin Walk, it's like an Australian bird reserve overlooking the Blue Mountains. Reasonably priced with great little touches, wood burning fireplace,etc. Beautifully charming. We've been to Australia 6 times. At the top of our list. read more

Don't be discouraged by the little amount of reviews you see about the bush hut, it is nothing short than a little slice of heaven. First found in a search on google with only one review, I decided to take a risk and found what the previous guy said. It's indeed a rare gem. Essentially a little (yet very tasteful) hut with gorgeous views through glass panels of a private garden, it feels like you are living outdoors right in the Blue Mountains but with the luxury of a roof over your head. The hut is so carefully thought through, sotcked with everything you need, and want with no reminders of the outside world, feeling as though ... well it's perfect. There is system in which you get your dishes washed and towels replaced (so that the owners never interferes with the getaway and it feels so exclusive. Owners were absolutely lovely, caring and wonderful people. Stayed over for Christmas and even got homemade cake and chocolate with our fresh towels! Located right on the beginnings of the Darwin Trail, it is the perfect place to have your exclusive getaway. You know, when you want to get out and about. Our 2 year anniversary could not have been more perfect. read more

My daughter and I had a two night stay in this lovely hideaway. The owners could not have made us feel anymore welcome with thoughtful welcoming touches. Set in the heart of the blue mountains in a very non commercialised area, the bush hut is a perfect base for exploring all the treks in the area. Lots of information to hand and even a ruck sack as we forgot ours!! Plenty of very good restaurants on your doorstep, we would whole heartedly recommend the bush hut. read more

We stayed at the Bush Hut for our 20th Anniversary and it did not disappoint. The hut is very private, quiet and suitable for a romantic weekend getaway. You have direct access to the Wentworth Falls nature walks in the beautiful Blue Mountains National Park. The surrounding area is very quiet and a great way to get off the grid for a couple of days. Our hosts at the Bush were very gracious - apart from a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival we returned from our bush walk to find a little gift of cake and chocolates to enjoy. The location is close to shops and eateries and there is plenty to do including visiting Wentworth Falls Lake and other local tourist attractions and the local markets. The Wentworth Falls Bowling Club is within walking distance of the hut which offers great meals (good sized portions and excellent price). I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Do yourself a favour and book some time away from it all. read more

This hut is cosy in winter and breezy in summer (we stayed the weekend in October when winter turned to summer). The hut itself is gorgeous, with interior furnishings that are interesting, practical and homely. The hut's many windows bring the outside in, surrounded by private gardens and on the edge of the national park. The hosts are welcoming, wonderful and friendly. They are full of information and passion for the region. There is an access path right next to the hut to the Wentworth Falls bushwalk which is absolutely spectacular. I highly reccommend The Bush Hut for a weekend getaway or even a longer stay. read more
