I watch her grab her work off the shelf when she walks in the door and when she sees me in the parking lot she waves from inside and CONTINUES to work. When she comes out she will share things she's learned that day. Tutoring was necessary because she's starting high school next year and she has been behind in math for a few years, she has worked herself to the bone in school, attending tutoring afterschool and on weekends IN SCHOOL but never off campus. As a last resort I decided to enroll her in a paid tutoring class. I wish I had just gone in this direction years ago, it would have saved her a lot of struggle. Please don't wait if you're on the fence. Your child doesn't have to struggle with math, she or he can succeed.
