I would fully stock up on baby clothes and supplies because I know that I would hypothetically be supporting a local small business, and I appreciate the conservation aspect of hypothetically buying second hand items. The company that has no yelp page and is simply riding little story's coattails. That cute lil gum ball machine next to the counter... Love that thing. I mean... talk about second hand. It was purchased from a local family, cleaned very well and is now on display for all to enjoy. And sure. It's a little finicky. Sometimes you put in a quarter and you don't get a gum ball but that's just part of the charm. Also. No big deal. That person receives a percentage of the profit. The shopping experience was a bit overwhelming, so give yourself plenty of time. The more you put into prepping your consignment items, the more $$ you'll walk away with. If you volunteer time, you can shop earlier than the crowds and have more choices. It's a great way to "level up" your stuff to get rid of the baby supplies and get new-to-you older kid things, but the vast majority of the sale is younger kids/baby things.
