I have never been here and when I walked in on a Friday I thought they were closed because of how quiet it was, we had gotten to our seats and ordered drinks, I had the Hurricane which was quite strong, I like my drinks strong but I want them to have the fruity taste as they should have, it was very delicious and would definitely order it again. I ordered the potato skins (i think that's what they are called) and they were very delicious, it had a good buttery taste with the sour cream which was amazing. I ordered the Lavery Irish Burger, this burger was AMAZING!!! It had flavorful tastes of bourbon, butter and a hint of sweetness. The carmelized sauerkraut was exquisite and the corned beef was mouth watering, this whole meal was divine, this was one of the best burgers I have had in a long time and would DEFINITELY order this again. I have to add in that the waitress, Rosa, was amazing, she did a great job, this lady deserves a raise because everything we asked from her she did. You couldn't ask for a better waitress. This place all in all was a really good place, I thought this would be a jazz lounge by the name of it but actually it is a pretty big Hockey Bar, there is hockey decor everywhere which is pretty cool to see. i was there with a group of people. I was there for over two hours and still didn't receive are food. i had to cancel are orders because we need to be somewhere. Also we had to chase our waitress down to get refills after an hour. they kept on telling me that everything is made fresh, but please explain to me how making a salad is fresh like they were growing the lettuce and all that my son's cheese sticks where milking the cow what. if I could give zero stars, I would. read more

The BB came to my rescue when I needed a place for my Mom's Funeral Luncheon at the last minute. I'm from out of town and couldn't find a smaller venue to accommodate my family and friends. They have a room that worked perfectly for us. The food was awesome and everyone expressed how much they really enjoyed Patti's chicken strips! Jill and Lisa ran their tails off with smiles on their faces accommodating everyone with drinks and whatever else they needed. Again, everybody expressed how pleased they were. I will be forever grateful for Patti's and Chris's kindness during this tough time for all of us. I had been to BB several times prior to my Mom's passing, and enjoyed the pulled pork, sliders, and my son has the burger with the egg on it, lol, so we love this place. I organized a large group to meet at the bar and while waiting for my group to arrive we turned off the big ass fans, as the temp in the bar was at best 70 degrees. The person I think is owner came over and yelled at me saying his place his rules and don't touch his fans. I worked here for a good few months about a year ago, there was a bucket in the kitchen, where they collected water next to where we prepared food! The owner is rude and paid me under the table without me, knowing, and when I asked for a tax form for this year, he informed me, but that that is not how taxes work and that I didn't work there long enough. If you know anything about taxes, you would know that's not true! The workplace is hostile, dirty, and going out of business for a reason! He has cussed me out multiple times as well as shoved me when I was leaving the restaurant after I quit. This is not a family environment. Do not bring your family here under any circumstance! He is a liar, manipulator, and bad business owner! The fireworks tent out front threw me off to location. I came here for a farewell and retirement party for a colleague and came with a bunch of colleagues from work. I can't say I would have ever picked this place out of 10 other places, but we had a large party and this place was able to accommodate our group. We had a sizable group. It's very much a typical sports bar ambiance, which works out fine for the majority of the demographic of the party. It's a good open and large space inside. We were seated on the downtown side in a room. The food doesn't do anything for me, looked so-so , decided to skip the carbs, since it didn't look carb worthy to me here and had some beverages instead. Not Just a Sports Bar - Tasty food! Not just bar/comfort food but an extensive menu. The pierogi (Polish dumplings) are hand made at the restaurant and were as delicious as my grandma's. Had the worst experience at Broadcast Booth in Allen Park tonight! We had a party of 10 and the service was fine but when we got our bills, we realized the prices of each item were like $2-4 more than what the menu had said. We asked to talk to a manager and the owner came out. He told us that there is a paragraph on the front page of the menu that we were supposed to read that states because of inflation their prices have gone up. Listen, I totally get it, everyone is raising their prices because of inflation but you have to reprint your menus to reflect that. You can't just put a paragraph on them that you hope the customers see. I even said you should have the waitress tell the table "just so you're aware..." Having said all of that, we were mostly upset, APPALLED really at how this owner spoke to us. So incredibly rude and unapologetic. Pretty much told us oh well I don't know what to tell you, you should have read the paragraph on the front page. As if you read every single word on a menu One person at our table said she won't be back and he said that's fine. Just so smug and got downright nasty with us, we truly couldn't believe it. I could see that behavior from a server or manager but I've never ever seen an OWNER act like that toward their customers ever. He should be ashamed and embarrassed treating paying customers that way, but I can tell by the kind of guy he is that he's not. It's disappointing when there are so few options in AP to dine out and that's the way owners act. Not to mention that their food is mediocre at best. I was told I couldn't get steak on my salad instead of chicken (when they have a steak salad on the menu). And lastly, a lady in our party (who has short hair) went to ask where the bathroom was and the woman she talked to said to her "men's or women's?" Are you kidding me?!? How incredibly insulting. We hadn't been here in about 8 months. The difference in the food from then to now is like night and day! First time the food was great. This time, pizza burger was ordered medium well but was so over cooked that my husband started choking on it. The steak salad was luke warm and the steak was very undercooked. I chose a meal from the Lent menu, spinach stuffed ravioli but I asked for meat sauce. The ravioli was cold inside and was definitely microwaved frozen ravioli, the hamburger in the canned marinara was rubbery and chewy. My daughters steak was supposed to be medium but was completely raw inside. Our little one ordered spaghetti which had almost no sauce and the 4 yr old said it was gross. It's obvious the poor waitresses apologize often for the kitchen staff. I don't know when the kitchen staff changed but it definitely wasn't for the better! Don't even bother with this place. "Oh" also, the flooring is coming apart and my husband almost fell. We watched a few others come in and slip in the same spot. Lawsuit waiting to happen, might want to fix that. read more

The best place I have ever eaten at in Downriver. I took my family there after my daughter's graduation, there was a party of five and the waitress took really good care of us. The food was awesome, made with fresh ingredients, and they gave you a lot to eat. So in my opinion it has both quality and quantity. The owner, as well as the other staff were very friendly. The price was good too. I don't understand why this place got bad reviews, if you want cheap food, go to Mc Donald's, because for all you got, the price was excellent. Food mediocre at best. Price charged was on average $4 over menu listing. Owner very rude when this was brought up. He Obviously hasn't a clue on how to manage a business. Our server was good. She was kind and attentive. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the overall decision-making of the kitchen staff and management. Four of us were there today (5/20/23). Two of us ordered entrees with redskin mashed potatoes. These were the very worst redskin mashed potatoes we've ever had! I had another person at the table give them a try and he turned his face in disgust too. They tasted rancid and spoiled. So, we let our server know and asked if we could get fries to replace the awful potatoes. She said she'd check with the kitchen staff and get back to us. A whopping fifteen minutes later, she came back and said that's how they're made and there is nothing that can be done. Great. So I spent $15 on a meal I only ate 3/4 of. Way to ensure your customers' happiness (and safety, as I know those potatoes were spoiled). To top it all off, I looked up reviews of this place afterward and it looks as if management and the owners couldn't care less when negative reviews are posted, as, unlike most establishments, you won't find anyone from The Broadcast Booth chiming in online. I know they were just mashed potatoes, but I won't be back on principle alone. They need to do better or at least address things in ways which make sense for their business practices (refusing to comp or replace sour food should never be a staple at a restaurant). Been here a few times, come here when we are waiting on hockey to start at the arena.. Each time we have been here, its been progressively worse. Last time I was here, the order was thrown on the plate, 1/2 put together in sloppy and falling apart fashion. Today, I ordered a basic simple cheese burger. I asked for it medium rare with chedder, tomato and onion. The burger was delivered luke wark, well done and the cheese was so thin and it looked like it had been sitting on top of the meat for an hour. My wifes sandwich was just layers of what looked like Aldi bought cold cut packaged meat thrown a top bread and then heat either microwaved or heat lamped. Decent selection of beers. Severs only serve, they don't seem to care about customer experience. I was never asked why I didn't eat my meal. Maybe its what the Canadian owners are used to getting away with in Canada, but we are done with this place. read more

Eight of us came in for Dinner and here are the awful results: 1. An order for Baked Whitefish was delivered cold and with so much lemon on it, that is all you could taste. 2. A couple orders for perch. White fish filets not Perch were delivered. Terrible flavor had to be a low end fish. 3. An order of Homemade Meatloaf. It was a frozen processed patty that was microwaved with a little gravy smeared on top. Still cold. 4. The Smashed Potatoes were dark brown!!!! and with so much spice on them none of us could eat them. Last I looked potatoes where white even with the skins. 5. Finally the place was cold with the ceiling fans on high. Asked the manager to adjust it and he refused. I do not recommend anyone going to this restaurant. read more
