Okay take this review with a good pinch of salt as I must confess I'm not a drinker and the only time I take alcohol is when it's in my sauce, cake or slow roast stews.
Regardless I feel this place is a good little hidden pub located by the monument statue at the end of London bridge. This place is a downstairs pub and this is important to know as you won't get any signal depending on your network provider.
Even though I don't drink my mates do and they drank a lot and was extremely having a good time with the footy that was on. From their point of view the drinks were "decent" which means it was good quality for the price.
During my time I brought a 6oz beef burger with onion rings with shredded pork that had been dipped in BBQ sauce. To be honest it sounded better than it actually was as everything including the chips was a little in the dry side which started my suspicions.
My friends under the influence if jäger bombs, ginger rum cocktails and other beverages that I lost track of, decided to purchase 50 chicken wings for £3.95. Once again this sounded better than it actually sounds as this also was a little dry and it also confirmed my suspicions which were the oil of their fryer needed changing as the wings were completely dry, hard and had the old fried oil taste. This didn't bother my friends as they absolutely loved it and wanted more (I'm really questioning people's judgement who are under the influence of a few drinks)
The positives were the service which was polite and spot on but also the atmosphere which was down to the customers coming to watch the football match.
I would suggest for this place to pay for a TV license as its not cool to stream a live match and the TV freezing at crucial moments of the game, I guess this all adds to the drama to which I give this an average venture.
I'm sure if I had drank or came on another day then I would of found this place to be epic like my friends did. read more
