Bristol's local answer to…read moreCountry Life, this is high end mundane journalism - it'll tell you the essentials of local events in categories like music, arts, family fun, as well as some odd articles about local issues/points of interests. Generally, it'll list some interesting events, which are always on the tasteful side of things - take Lillian Boulette, jazz and blues music at the Cori Tap. In the style of it's parent magazine, it also has a long section on property, where the advertised houses are simply amazing - and thus wildly expensive - you really get a sense of how rich Clifton is once you have a browse. Like The Bristol Magazine, it's directed at affluent citizens and delivered for free distribution to most of the city's businesses. Worth a browse - you might find a good little gem of information.

I…read morewas hoping for it to be a magazine that is overflowing with juicy articles that I could wrap my mind around and suck dry of opinions and views on local events and affairs. I clearly picked up the wrong magazine. I was instead confronted with a pretentious onslaught of up-market adverts, and superficial articles that made Clifton seem like a resort that was looking for wealthy investors. Not the type of magazine to sit and sip your coffee to over a long breakfast.
