Happened during the night and employees found her in bed in the morning w/blood on her pillow. They believe she rolled out of bed and crawled back in. Mom is non ambulatory and screams when she is moved. Impossible for her to climb back in bed. She had to get stitches on the back of the head and broken hip. This happened in June. Other falls I received two or three different stories of what happened. Employee telling resident "I'll put you in the quiet room if you don't eat". Said three times during dinner- I was feeding mom and heard this. Employee sleeping while he is supposed to watch residents. I told manager he was sleeping and she had to wake him up. All residents do is sit in the living room with the tv on. No activities.. this is the second floor memory care. Sunrise has gone downhill in the last year. I moved my mom to another sunrise by me (out of state) and she is thriving. There is more but including bed sores that were not brought to my attention. And sunrise of Staten Island (narrows road), don't bother to respond to this. Your response is automated and if you wanted to know exactly what I witnessed, I already emailed you with my phone number.

Despite our low expectations for recovery (given her age and the nature of the injury), Nellie and Dimitriy were absolutely fantastic in helping my grandmother work on her injury. While the process is obviously a slow one, we were absolutely impressed with the level of progress we saw in my grandmother. Her arm has gradually, but consistently, started to revive its motor functions. Best of all, it's revived my grandmothers confidence - which seemed hopelessly depleted after surgery. My family and I would like to thank Nellie and Dimitriy from the bottom of our hearts for their help, expertise and persistence for results.

ArchCare PACE Staten Island should be ashamed. The way they treat patients in the day center is…read moreabsolutely heartbreaking. People come here hoping their loved ones will be safe, cared for, and treated with dignity -- but that's not what happens behind those doors. Patients are ignored, spoken to harshly, and left sitting for hours. Some staff act like the patients are a burden instead of human beings. There's no compassion, no patience, and no accountability. The few good workers who actually care are burned out and silenced. It's painful to watch people who need help be dismissed like they don't matter. Families deserve honesty, not fake smiles during tours and empty promises about "care." ArchCare PACE puts on a good show for outsiders, but if you saw what I saw, you'd never leave your loved one there. This place needs serious investigation. No elder, veteran, or person with disabilities should be treated this way.

My mom now has two super friendly and kind young women who trade off supporting her during the week. She is so at ease with them. I was talking to her today and she randomly started singing "You're So Vain" and I could hear her companion singing along with her! Honestly I can't say enough good things about this company. The professionalism and personalized care starts right at the top with Larisa and is embodied by every person in the company I've engaged with. I feel like there's this amazing team in place looking after my mom, which is very reassuring since unfortunately I live on the other side of the country.

Eger Health Center isn't all that bad but it isn't all that good. Like other reviewers have mentioned its really outdated here. I know you don't come here for the decor and all but when families are paying nearly $550 a day to be housed here you'd think in the very least the building and its rooms would be modern and up to date. Instead you're faced with a dank reception desk, dirty carpets throughout, old paint, "wood" everywhere, peeling walls, old chairs, and the bathrooms in each room are straight out the 60's. I could go on and on about the condition of this building but I don't want to take away from the staff that keeps this place running. The staff here are some of the most compassionate people I have met during the process of my relatives passing. They were kind, caring, and respectful with all of us during some difficult time but when it came to them having to interact with him they were gentle and patient which doesn't always happens in many of these places. We didn't have much time to research a better possible facility but cant say I truly regretted the decision my family made to use this facility.

My mother sat for 4 hours in a wheelchair before a nurse finally came to help here into bed. Also great management. There hasn't been milk for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 3 days because "they ran out" as per one of the staff. So if you want milk in your coffee or tea you're out of luck. As for the food, I've tasted horrible frozen microwaveable dinners that tasted better.
