I should have read the reviews before we entered this building LOL, we had a similar experience. My husband and I visited on a weekday morning, intending to both browse them ultimately purchase a few items if we found something we liked. No one said hi to us. Not one soul for the entire 30 minutes that we browsed the store. No wonder people shop online the majority of the time. We left empty handed and decided against ordering the furniture set we liked online. The vibe I got from the staff was that they truly hated their job and honesty it was a bit sad. I've worked retail in the past and know it's a tough gig but this was ridiculous to be completely ignored the whole time we were there. I had to go back to the store to better understand the situation, then I realized they were trying to sell me a nightstand that was on the floor ( everyone touching it and moving it) at the same price of the brand new one ! then when I refused, they said we'll try to find one in stock which I know it's NOT IN STOCK and they were trying to force me the one on the floor. I give a 1 star rating. Horrible service. I just purchased dryer from them. The drivers had to drop the dryer in the basement and could not set it up as the sales rep did not inform us/the installers that ahose/pipe would need to be brought for the install. The invoice say's to install new dryer. Delivery crew was polite, however, store staff were rude and disrespectful when we asked how this can be corrected. I wish I could give zero stars. The salesman pulled the old bait and switch - he sold me a 3-piece set with 3 day delivery. To my surprise, only 2 pieces were delivered. The delivery guys didn't unwrap my couches, or put the legs on, like they were supposed to - which I PAID for them to do, and now the store won't refund my delivery fee. The customer service is impossible to get a hold of, plus they are rude and gaslight me at every turn. I have gone into the store 4 times, and there is never any record on my file from the previous day. This place is a total SCAM! We bought coach set in July 18 2022. One sit pillow missed. Called to store. Store said we ordering for you now, just don't complain now or salesperson can lose his commission (?). Next day we wanted to verify and went to the store. Some teller said we'll order it for you if it was not done yesterday. And said will be about week. So before August or maximum 1 August we can pickup pillow from store. Someone calls and asks to send picture of missing part - we did. We said are going to vacation till 8 of August. They said - if earlier - we'll give You a call, or you can pick it up any time after coming back - "it will wait for you". 8 of August we have another call from Store when - They asking "What actually missing???", and asked again to send photo. Next day we went to the store and found that actually nothing where ordered. And need another 4-6 weeks to receive missing part. They lost or never opened our previous email! We asked to give this pillow from Showroom - not possible they said. And aging send us home saying they will figure out to help us and 11 of August problem will be solved. Wednesday 10 August we went to the store again and have been asked again what part was missed!!! Frustration.. They said they cannot do anything but delivery all set again (just sit pillow missed). Later this day they called and said someone will call Friday to schedule delivery for Saturday 13 August. We asked if we can just pick up pillow from set from warehouse or from store. They ask to wait and called warehouse in Mississauga. Then they said yes - we can go right now and pick up pillow - just call intercom, bring ID and invoice. We wert to warehouse - nobody knows about us... I have some heard condition and almost felt - too match stress. Manager from Warehouse called to manager in the store and She said - come Saturday to store to pick up, Sorry. To whom it may concern, I purchased a new home and decided to purchase all my appliances from The Brick, however this was the first and last time I purchase anything from here. I purchased the hoses that come with installation of my machines. I through that I was able to trust the work of what I thought was a reputable company, but I was wrong. The incompetent gentlemen that "installed" the machines did not complete the installation properly, leaving the drain hose on the floor, not connected to the drain....which resulted in water going EVERYWHERE in my home, through the ceiling and down to the main floor! After calling The Store I was told that since I "signed" there was nothing the store could do. I was told that me signing stated that a water test was done, which is absurd.. and that the installation was done correctly. The shortest cycle on those machine is 19 minutes.... so I was supposed to tell the delivery men NO wait here 20 minutes for the cycle to go through and complete the water test? If I knew how to judge whether the installation was done correctly I would not have paid for them to do it! Purchasing the hoses at Homedepot would have been significantly cheaper, I purchased from the Brick because it included the installation. The problem was caused by the incompetence of your workers.... however the unjust policy is the company's fault. Your company should take responsibility for mistakes made by workers. Now I am left with a beautiful new home and a wet ceiling in 2 rooms that need to be replaced! I have an entire house to furnish and I will not even purchase a lamp from The Brick! I have been waiting an entire month for my dining set! it started with them wanting to give me PARTIAL DELIVERY with an UNKOWN DELIVERY DATE for the remaining pieces. Horrible Horrible - I went there and purchased a King size mattress. The matress once delivered was small for my King bed. I called them within 30 mins of the delivery of the matress and asked them that I can come to the store to select another mattress that will fit my bed instead. They said a Big NO because the one I purchased was on clearance and thus final sale. Now I am stuck with a $1500 matress which is small for my bed. This is not the customer service one expects. I bought a queen sized bed and The Brick promised me that the delivery guys will help set up my queen sized bed because I paid for that fee. Instead, the workers dropped my queen sized bed on the floor and walked away with no assistance. I'm pregnant and I can't lift a queen sized bed by myself and set it up since I have a hard time bending due to my pregnant belly. UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE!! The delivery guys don't know how to do their job properly. Also, the queen sized bed that I ordered didn't even look like a queen sized bed. It looked more like a double bed. I called to address this issue to The Brick but they didn't care to resolve my issue. The Brick is a scam and a waste of money. Their queen sized beds are not really queen sized. Their queen sized beds are the size of a double bed. Highly NOT recommended. DO NOT come to The Brick unless you don't care to get scammed and ripped off by this company. The customer service department was horrid towards myself, my mother and my sister-in-law. We have been trying to resolve an issue we have with our dryer (brand new BTW) for a month and a half and we have been told "there is nothing that can be done" . They have taken advantage of my 91 yr old grandfather. The salesperson has even denied selling them the wrong dryer!!! A horrible experience and a horrid staff at Ridgeway in Mississauga. I received a defective product and they refused to exchange it, leaning on their final sale policy. I purchased a stove and dishwasher and paid extra for having the D/W installed by their technician which was scheduled two days after delivery. I was told by the salesman that delivery guys will remove the old stove but dishwasher has to be removed by installer and he would take it to the curb at no extra cost. when the installer called to confirm the appt. he advised that he will not move the dishwasher unless I pay extra to have it hauled away by them. went back to the store and was told I need to pay extra $25 which I did. the installer who was scheduled to come over on Dec 15 between 9-11 called at 11 to say he has an emergency and will come over on Monday 18th. he showed up and installed the d/w but said he will not remove the old unit since it's not on his work order. I tried calling the store to have them speak with the installer but there was no answer. he left the unit outside the main entrance blocking the walkway and left. i went to the Brick for the third time to sort this nightmare and was told they will look into it and call me back......still waiting for the call to come through. also, their delivery guys do not cover their shoes entering your home and do not clean up the snow and dirt they drag into the house with them. in my view even 1* is too much for the service I have received; safe to say I will NEVER buy anything from the Brick AGAIN.. read more

I went in during their boxing day sale. Not at all surprised that I couldn't get one of the "free" tablets they were offering if you purchase more than $xxxx amount of furniture (I was, however, invited to pay $175 to purchase one). I only have Fridays off work and available for delivery. Part of my order had to be delivered two weeks hence because it was not in stock. So I asked them to deliver the balance of my order on Friday the 3rd of January so I could get on with furnishing my home. The freezer for the basement would have to wait until the 10th. I requested a morning delivery and the customer service lady happily entered it into the system. Come delivery day, I get a phone call in the morning informing me that my delivery would be between 2-5 that afternoon. Sigh. Fine. Since I can't go to work for a few hours this afternoon, I'll pick up my files from the office and work from home today. About an hour or so later I get another call telling me my delivery window is now "3-6" that afternoon, "because of the weather". (n.b. it was -16 degrees celcius outside, plus another few degrees for the wind chill factor). Fine. I'm already hunkered down, working away, waiting for my furniture. No big deal. Come 2 o'clock I get yet another phone call telling me that because it's so cold out (a fact that had been heralded by the weather people for about a week prior), they haven't gotten any of their twenty (20!) trucks started, therefore no deliveries (zero! 0! Nada) out all day. So I asked them if there were time slots on Sunday that I could have. Yes! There are time slots available on Sunday! But we can't give you one just yet. You see, the delivery people still have the work order open so we can't assign a delivery slot and "they're going by the minute". About 2 hours later I get a call from customer service cheerily informing me that my delivery has been rescheduled for Wednesday. A day I'll be at work all day. I told them I wanted Sunday. No can do. You see, all the Sunday slots are taken. Frustrated but trying to remain calm, through gritted teeth I said fine, just deliver the whole order all at once on the 10th when you bring me my freezer. Oh no sir, we can't do that. Is there another day that works for you? Uhm, what? You're already sending a truck to my house on Friday the 10th of January to bring me a freezer. Just put the rest of the items on the same truck(!!!) Mercifully I got a call back in an hour telling me they'd been able to 'accommodate' me by delivering my entire order (which, by the way, was paid for in full on the 26th of December), on the 10th of January. Let's just wait and see if it's not raining or snowing that day to find out whether or not I'm getting my furniture. Meanwhile, it was so nice when my friend was over and had to sleep on the couch because the bedroom set for my spare room is in a warehouse (or a frozen truck) right now. read more

This is my first and also my last to purchase anything from the Brick. It was a terrible customer service experience. For eg. when one of the customer service officer phoned me to settle full payment even I just visited a day before received the phone call that I will make full payment 3 days in advance according to their payment policy. I was being treated very rude over the phone when I told her that I've properly informed her colleague about my plan. In addition,it seems that there is lack of communication internally, thus customer will have to bear their blunder. Worst of all is that they delivered kid twin bed without sleep trundle which might caused safety issue to my daughter - simply because that the height between the bed and floor is about 2 and a quarter foot. Now, my daughter has to squeeze into our bedroom for safety reason. No one inform me in advance during and even after I purchased the said furniture. I found out when I returned to the shop to ask for help today after struggled to navigate for the correct channel in getting the right information. I was being told that the said missing piece will only delivered on Jan 08 2013 - more than 2 weeks from the original delivery.The reason is that there is no stock. If the sales associate informed me in advance, I might considered purchase an alternative bed frame. This is my Christmas gift to my daughter, imagine when you are unable to fully realize the Christmas gift to your loved one during Christmas. What a disappointment ??? We purchased the sectional on November 26th were promised to have it by Jan 10 2019. We sold our furniture to clear up the space when I called to find out our delivery they said they do not have the furniture and wont have it until Feb 10th. Feb 10th came they send half of the sectional so I have something to sit on. Now the second half of the furniture was to be delivered today between 815 to 1130 so that they can deliver the other half that in I asked for delivery to be anytime after 11...when I voiced that they have unconvinced me since they are responsible for not having my furniture by promised date and this is the second time they are delivering when it should have been once... their supervisor told me how is this inconvenience for me? Lets jut say it is February 26 and I still have only half of the sectional. It has been 3 moths now. I have not even received an appology or a call from the menager. I am asking for anyone that can help me deal with situation. This furniture is 6000 dollars Natuzzi collection and they have been so disrespectful the entire time except when they were taking my money. We bought a new house this summer and decided to get some furniture from this store as it was closest to our home. Leo was very helpful in helping us find a power reclining sofa set, tv stand, coffee table, end table, and a kitchen table set. I'm sure we made his day. However he told us so many lies and just 5 months later we are dealing with warranty issues on the couch. He promised us they would be scotch guarded. They weren't and apparently the brick doesn't even offer such a service. He told us the warranty would be returned if we didn't need it, but he lied again because that isn't true on furniture (apparently). The warranty department is replacing 2/4 pieces of the couch but suggested we go to the store to get an additional compensation for all the lies/trouble. They were so rude and refused to do anything to help us. Bottom line: don't trust the sales people. They will say anything for a sale. LIARS! read more

bought 2 sets of sofas and paid in full at once. not a small amount of money. rep promised 2nd sofa will be delivered in 6-8 weeks. at 4-5th week waiting time, we needed to phone warranty department for a stain on the 1st sofa set and was informed the 2nd sofa won't be delivered by 8 weeks and MAYBE will be ready for additional 8 weeks. upon phoning the store, no one took the responsibility on promising the wrong delivery date. if we get a full refund, there won't be guarantee on the discussed price again should we go back to buy the same sofa at a time when they have it in stock. thus, we feel "forced" to keep a deposit there and wait for the indefinite delivery date! should a big company like The Brick operate this way? at least take on the responsibility and to satisfy the customer a bit more because the delivery time changed from 8 weeks or sooner to INDEFINITE! POOR POOR customer service. in addition to that, the EXPANSIVE warranty department is not friendly to deal with. we need to "prove" with pictures and "forensic" investigative argument to them in order to get a replacement. will I go back to the Brick?
