Buyer beware. Warranty division of the brick: unprofessional, disorganized, zero accountability, run by an incompetent management team. Situation: 2 months after buying a micro-fibre sectional, some threads started to loosen exposing the cushion, in addition to the teeth which hold the couch together fell apart. It has been 4 months since our first call to the division, and 7 more have been made. We were promised delivery several times and it just showed up. Over the phone, it was told to us that the new teeth would be installed with the re-sewn section of the couch. Delivery team had no idea about the teeth, and of course they were closed while the delivery team delivered the section piece. Our new sectional has been in disrepair for more time than it has not. Will not purchase from the brick again. They are not willing to do anything for us to make the process less painful. read more

We went in to purchase a bed from the Brick. One of the first things we noticed when I walked through the door was a somewhat predatory approach. We picked up three salesmen immediately. I started doing the Jaws theme song and they dropped back. I found a bed that I was interested in and asked a nearby salesman about it. After showing me a few different beds I found one that I wanted. I asked when it could be delivered. I was both surprised and disappointed when the salesman told me not for two weeks. I rather reluctantly agreed to this. It is now three weeks later, no sign of the bed. No phone calls or explanations. I rang them and was told that the box spring hadn't even arrived at the warehouse yet and wouldn't for a few days. By the time it arrives our visitors will have come and gone. Had our salesman told us about the real delivery date we would not have purchased it. Belatedly looking online I see that the Brick have a long history of this and it is the number one complaint about them of which there are many. Buyer Beware if you are looking for a timely purchase I would not risk shopping at this place. read more

The word I would use to sum up my experience with the Brick: ridiculous. I ordered a box spring, and when it was delivered I only received half. Turns out I wasn't charged for both halves of the box spring. A replacement box spring was sent a week later until the matching one could be ordered. I was not notified of the delivery, and had two men show up randomly one Sunday morning with a box spring (which I have been told, and continue to be told, they 'can't' do deliveries on Sunday's, so not sure what that's about). Also a warning to those of you buying a mattress, I was told they would take away the old mattress free of charge and set up the new mattress upon delivery. This was a straight lie. There is an environmental fee (which they could have simply notified us of) for them to pick up an old mattress, and they barely brought the items into my home lead alone set it up. Overall, proceed with caution. Many other people I have spoken with have had similar ridiculous experiences. If possible, go somewhere else and save yourself a few months of confusion! read more

Recently purchased a new front loading Whirlpool washer and dryer from the Brick. The delivery staff were honest when one unit arrived dented and had it replaced. Both units malfunctioned from the first day and the dryer continued to get worse. Sales staff were polite and helpful. Transglobal repairs didn't inspire confidence. The sales staff courteously agreed to replace the units with an LG brand without arguement. We feel we were treated fairly and courteously by the entire staff. The last delivery crew even took their boots off outside. We'll defintiely consider the Brick for our future furniture needs. Jim, Langley BC read more

We purchased a sofa and love seat in late 2012 from The Brick. The love seat cushion sagged within a few months and a replacement love seat was provided. The replacement love seat cushion has also sagged. The Brick service technician came to our house and advised that there was nothing he could do. He indicated that the products were from China and poorly manufactured. Thanks to The Brick for selling us garbage. We have previously made numerous purchases from the The Brick - however we will not be making any further purchases from The Brick. read more

I purchaced $10,000.00 worth of appliances for my new home 5 years ago, I did buy extended warranties for a few items. The Samsung washing machine pair (Burgandy) well the washer has had problems within the first 2 years so I had to go through the warranty company to have them contact someone to come to assess the problem, only to have this situation looked at and fixed or so I thought for 4 more times over 5 years. Now I was offered 50% towards a store credit to purchase a new one. I said no I want a new washer with no issues. finally after 2 months of argument I get a call saying you can have the full mount towards a replacement. I go into the store and of course they no longer carry the same washer, so I upgrade and pay another extended warranty. Now I wait for the delivery which of course I have to pay for. Then get another call telling me that there is a mistake I only get 50% towards a new washer, and the woman on the telephone at the customer service desk is so rude and telling me I need to pay more money. I asked her to look at the invoice that I paid last Sunday and she asked who was the Sales person, I say well Inder??? sorry Im actually at work and the paperwork is at home. She tells me to call back when I have the guys name. OMG I work with the public and I would fire her on the spot for her rude attitude towards customers. 0 stars for this woman. The store was super noisy, between the tv's, the paging, and the music. The staff are so commission hungry they don't leave you alone at all to talk to your partner or just see what they have. The same people approached us 2-3 times. I felt like we were being stalked, and when we told someone we had been approached already a bunch of times, she was really rude. There are so many nicer stores in Langley, where the staff are present and available AND polite, but not overpowering. I will not go back to the Brick for any reason! read more

What a joke this store is!!!! I made an online order for a washer and dryer pair, was said to be in stock and the price was reasonable. This was to be delivered 5 days later.... 2 days later I recieve a call stating this wasn't in stock and it wouldn't be in stock for about a month due to manufacturing delay. I wasn't impressed I didn't order this for fun and needed it I was already charged to my credit card. I said this was unacceptable and if they were not willing to find a solution then I would cancel my order and shop elsewhere. After a lot of phone tag, we were offered the floor model with extended warrenty and the hook-ups for the washer and dryer. We were then told we would have to pay the delivery cash in order to receive the washer and dryer the same delivery day I was initially quoted. They were to refund the credit card the amount of the delivery but stated we needed to go in store with the card to actually get it refunded back to the credit card. We did receive the washer and dryer and took the receipt into The Langley store to get the refund. Upon entering the store we were overwhelmed.....Where do we go to talk to anyone....we got glares as we walked in, no acknowledgment until we passed 2 people sitting on a stool in the middle of the store. We looked around and found in the back corner the area they complete purchases. We waited and then this one cashier had her family in it was obvious she was not really wanting to have to deal with us as it was taking away from here visiting time. Anyway after explaining what we were there for she attempted to look up what she needed to do to refund the delivery. I could clearly see the amount of the refund 2 times. She claimed she needed the original receipt in order to refund this, then said the computer wouldn't let her do it. So we would need to leave her with our information and she would refund it later. This whole time shes been talking back and forth to her mom and family saying I'll be right there. We were mad if you can do that without the card in hand why did we need to go down here in the 1st place? We stated we were going to get in touch with with BBB and this was crap. She told us that we were acting inappropriate and either leave the info with her or call back and try to get a refund online. Annoyed and frustrated we left....I will never deal with this company again...........I wish I had read the reviews earlier.And Surprise Surprise No association with the BBB. Turns out the witch I was dealing with was an Operations Manager! HA HA HA Wow Poor Management. U HAVE BEEN WARNED! Take your business elsewhere. I bought a 3000$ couch from the Langley location I bought the 5 year warranty 3 years later I've had the cushions replaced once and now the entire couch but only by giving up my remaining 2 years of warranty then they wanted me too pay for delivery of the replacement I scheduled the delivery for the following Saturday after going into the store when I called Saturday afternoon wondering when my new couch would be delivered they informed me that it was ready for pickup and delivery had been canceled so after some arguing they confirmed delivery for the following Saturday so 2 weeks later I'm finally getting my couch which they called to confirm my address then several hours later they sent me 2 text messages with 2 separate 3 hour delivery windows and then called 3 times with different 3 hour delivery windows when I called the store to find out what my actual delivery time frame was they said I got so many different times because they had 2 addresses on file which considering that they called and confirmed the address only a couple hours earlier tells me there employees aren't very competent read more

ABSOLUTE JOKE!! Never, ever again would I shop at this location, or with this brand ever again. The quality of their products are horrendous. The level of after service is nothing short of 3rd world. My wife and I spent over $6,000.00 dollars in the Langley location, and already after less than 1 year, we are having issues with every single piece we purchased. The couch is falling apart so badly we can barely sit in it. The reclining springs are broken, the handle on the side to retract the lazy boy is broken, all the stuffing has flattened to the point you can feel the wood underneath, and if that wasn't enough, the store openly admitted they knew there was production issues and thats why they have an upgrade kit. Secondly, our $1600.00 mattress, has also failed. The entire side of the mattress looks like it was squashed by a steam roller. Did you know that no matter what the salesman tells you about warranty and how covered you thing you are, that if the steel band that goes around the entire bed breaks, it dont matter why, your warranty is also null and void. If your mattress salesman sells you extra warranty, what he doesnt tell you, is that NO MATTER what, if you try to claim ANY warranty on the mattress for the duration of the warranty period, if there is so much as one single stain, no matter what the size.....SORRY, your warranty is also voided. When a mattress has a 20-25 year warranty, how are you supposed to never ever get a single solitary stain anywhere on the mattress. Good luck and thanks for spending more on useless warranties. We exchanged out mattress 3 times until this matter was resolved over a period of months. In the end, The Brick even tried to get us to accept a mismatched box spring! If we had wanted mix matched, we would have purchased mix matched. Out dinning room set, valued at $1800.00 has the same issues as the couch. Falling apart! All the cushioning on the bar stool's no longer support your weight! Thats because the STRING that is used to hold the springs has now stretched beyond repair in the first year. Oh yea, made in Malaysia. Nobody accepts responsibility when everything WILL go wrong. Everyone passes the buck, and customer service people at the counter always give out the EXACT same excuses about why they cant do anything. Stay Away from this store. Purchased mattress which was defective. They sent technician to examine mattress and take measurements and pics etc. I was then informed over the phone from a call center that yes the mattress was defective but there was a stain on the mattress- the stain meant that the manufacturers warranty was void!!! I said I purchased the mattress from the brick not the manufacturer and expected the store to stand behind its products.Obviously the Brick isn't prepared to do so- my suggestion avoid it altogether! read more

The Brick Langley has given me the worst customer service I've ever dealt with from any furniture store. I bought multiple items including a dining room set and chairs and I was told everything would be good to go, everything was in stock ready for my delivery day which was a month and a half later and just to call a week before to confirm delivery time. I called the week before my delivery day to double check that everything was good to go only to be told my dining room set wouldn't be ready for another month and they weren't sure the manufacturer would have it by then either and they wouldn't be able to give a date for when they would. No apology, basically Jackie the lady I dealt with passed the buck onto her sales agent and manufacturer. I informed her it was Christmas and I had company planned and that my dining room table was an integral part of this, had they phoned me before hand or told me the truth in the first place I would've taken my business elsewhere. I just got nothing but a terrible attitude back. I was told with emphasis that I can either cancel my order or wait. We went in today with the intentions of only getting a quote for all the appliances we needed for our new house we purchased with no appliances. We were going to go to trail appliances after to see which one was better priced. We ended up with wonderful customer service, friendly and he knew his stuff! He spent two snd s hslf hours with us, not even rushing us once and helped us pick the best for our money. Even suggesting some to expensive for its name, and giving us the best deal anyone could haven gotten. We decided not to go to Trail appliances and bought everything with the Brick. He did not treat us like customers he was trying to make money off, nor was he pushey like most sales guys and was even suggesting that if we werent taking possesion of the house right away, he would order for us to get the boxing day sale price but not ship intil we needed them.
