First of all, I made a Yelp account to review Central Arkansas Escape Rooms…read more CAER has the best escape room in Arkansas. I have done a couple others in Fayetteville, and CAER had the best mix of puzzles, teamwork, and fun. Our party had eight people, almost all with advanced degrees, but don't think you're too smart for this escape room! The puzzles don't require much outside knowledge (not much beyond knowing how to work different types of locks or whatnot) We hit road blocks too that all of us had to come together to figure out. It was a blast to work at 100% capacity for an hour with some of my closest friends. The feeling of overcoming a particular tough challenge together was awesome and amazing as it should be. As I mentioned, our group had eight people, and there was something for EVERYONE to do, all the time. No one had their hands in their pockets, watching everyone else. A consequence of that is that smaller groups will have to work VERY quickly, while individuals in larger groups will have time to take a minute to figure out the puzzle they're working on. That also means larger groups have got to communicate so everyone knows what the obstacles are. So yeah: super fun room, super nice people running the room, and a super great time had by everyone who went with us. One con: the $20/person fee can be a little unwieldy if you're making a reservation, but I'm happy for them to use the money to keep growing. They only have one room right now, but the quality of the puzzles suggest this particular business would be great in a larger facility. Go! Experience this hidden little gem in North Little Rock. I'm very impressed and look forward to what room they think up next!

The "Diamond Heist" was our 18th escape room of varying levels of quality, and our second at the…read moreEscape Mystery Rooms (previous was CSI: Conway). This place was a little different, with a homier feel, and we had a little bit of a frustrating experience the first time around based on the way the room was laid out and the way our game was managed. However, the Diamond Heist was very well put together. We got an appropriate/abundant level of helps and hints that kept the game moving along. When we got stuck it was almost completely on us, and the game master helped where needed. Parts of the game were very innovative and despite this being number 18 we were amazed that there are still new ways to solve "puzzles" and Escape Mystery Rooms integrated a number of them into the room. The one drawback, associated with the "homey" atmosphere, was that there were a few young children running around (grandkids?) in the front area. The only issue with that was that they were an auditory distraction while we were trying to immerse ourselves in the room (minor) and might have been a distraction to the game master once or twice(?). In the end they credited us with escaping at 59:59 and we were very satisfied with our experience and disappointed that we missed out on the Hotel Room (which appeared to be closed for replacement), but are looking forward to what they install next. We will continue to return to Escape Mystery Rooms, especially if they end up opening their date night room as they'd discussed a few months ago. I recommend this escape room as one of the top in the local area. And if you need to discuss this review hopefully I'll be the one coming out of one of their escape rooms at under 60 minutes.

I want to tell you a story. A story about how two friends decided to travel from Dallas, Texas to…read moreConway, Arkansas to do escape rooms and eat David's Burgers. We left Dallas in the morning, leaving an extra hour of travel time just in case we hit traffic. Unfortunately, we hit lots of unexpected construction traffic. I emailed Ozark Escape to see if they could help us shuffle our times around, and a very nice man named Miles helped us push back our room times. Everything seemed like it was good to go. We knew disaster was on the horizon when we saw billowing black smoke right outside of Texarkana. I-30 quickly came to a complete stop. So we sat there on the highway, thinking that there was an accident and that we would be on our way shortly after emergency services arrived. We listened to a podcast. Thirty minutes ticked by. I napped. An hour. We stood outside the car and talked to our highway neighbors. Ninety minutes. We were at a complete standstill. Eventually I decided to drive in the breakdown lane, partially in the grass, to a point in which I could cross the median and go the opposite direction. Utilizing the power of Google Maps we found a back way around the accident and were on our way again. I called my new friend Miles at Ozark Escape again and told him the bad news. He spoke to his experience curator (game master) Emma who was on site in Conway and they again, a second time, made arrangements for us to be able to play both of our rooms even though they had a full schedule for the rest of the day. This included Emma agreeing to stay late just to make sure we could do our rooms. Eventually, we made it to Conway and completed our rooms, which both were relatively new concepts with innovative puzzles and a decent level of immersion. I can't speak highly enough of both Miles and Emma. They were wonderful, and went out of their way to make sure we had a good time despite our unfortunate travel experiences. If you're ever in the Conway area, please give this establishment your business. Good rooms and A+ customer service. You're going to have a great time! Highly recommended!

Another excellent experience at Ozark Escape in Conway, AR…read more This was our third escape room with them (20 overall at various venues) and we were very satisfied with the room ("Power Hungry") and the price ($28/person). Their rooms have excellent equipment, storylines, and puzzles. There is something about the way that their rooms play that makes them logical but challenging. Of the 20 we've played overall, Ozark Escape's rooms are slightly easier relative to how they label their rooms, but that doesn't make them any less demanding or any less fun. Samantha was our "experience coordinator" (close to what she labeled herself) again, and did a great job overseeing our experience. Although we didn't ask for any clues she saw where we needed a couple of nudges to break our efforts loose and provided them. They were ours to use or not (she just put them up on the screen) and they were perfectly timed. Sometimes it seems like the game coordinators are not paying attention at other venues, but that has never been our experience at Ozark Escape. The lobby is clean and as COVID-friendly as customers want, and they have "practice" locks available in case any of them are unfamiliar. The website provides an efficient means to sign up for a specific time, and complete required waiver forms ahead of time. We learned yesterday that "Operative" and "Hidden Elixir" rooms are no longer available as they are combining them to create a new room opening in mid-January 2022 (advertised). We will definitely be returning to play the new room based on our experiences with Ozark Escape in Conway, and we look forward to a future trip to Fayetteville, AR to play some different rooms at that Ozark Escape. If you're new to escape rooms, or an experienced player, you'll definitely want to visit Ozark Escape - Conway.
