The croissants (laugen, chocolate, butter) are always on point. They're both soft and flakey. The quality is as high or higher than the third wave coffee shops in the neighborhood but at a breadshop/bakery price.
They also offer bagels, paninis, and breakfast platters. I'm not as much of a fan of the bagels as I am the croissants. I want to come back during lunch to try their paninis and croissant sandwiches because they always look beautiful in the display case.
I regularly get a tall cappuccino here, which manages to be milky enough for my tastes and caffeine-packed. If I come for just one item here, it's usually this.
The owner is super friendly, even though I often arrive right in the middle of his morning smoke break. He usually plays hip hop throughout the day, giving the cafe a relaxed atmosphere. read more
