The beers were great, the pretzel was good, but Macy's service truly made the evening for us!
I've been wanting to try this for a long time because I used to work very close by! So we decided to go on a Monday night! And it was actually very goo, the menu is huge, got so many options which is pretty nice, it was not too crowded, there was like 3 more people in te bar, they have a huge list of beer, I tried something that the bartender told me it was similar to blue moon, and I was great! We got some wings to share, they have like a wing basket that comes with a side of fries, it's a pretty good deal I asked them if the can do my fries loaded and they did, they were very good. We also shared the hot pepperoni pizza, which for me the crust was a little too thick but flavor was good. The place looks very easy going and give you those bar vibes to have a beer or two. As I said before it was not too crowded, but the bartender was like giving all the attention to an specific costumer so we had to really try to get her attention to get some service, that was the only thing that I did not like so much, but for the rest it was great. I'm coming back for sure.
We have been here several times now so here is my review. Brass Tap is a chain and have several locations around Tampa. This location is close to our house and so we do stop in from time to time. They carry a great selection of local and national beers. They serve food and we have eaten here before but the beer is what brings us back. Erica served us today and was friendly and helped us make some great selections and soon we were enjoying some great beer. The ambiance is casual and inviting. We certainly will be back
This is a great place to come and get good food and refreshing drinks. Their industrial vibe has plenty of seating inside and outside. We stopped in for a quick refreshment today. The bar tender, Erika, was very friendly and helpful. I got their beer of the month Angry Chair Full Circle Lager. It was lighter than I expected, but so refreshing. It was a great experience and we look forward to coming back soon!
It seems that the post-COVID atmosphere at The Brass Tap has been a little rocky lately. Business appears to be better than ever with more and more people venturing out in public again. My last few visits have seen near capacity crowds with not enough servers available to meet the needs of the restaurant. As a result, service has been much slower than on previous visits. We've come to accept this. We went in for dinner again last night. Same old story. Find a seat and wait. No, we were not in a hurry, but waiting 15 minutes to get a drink order in at a beer establishment is inexcusable. Our server was new, and was quite nice, so I will cut her some slack, but there seemed to be no sense of urgency. At some point, our server went MIA, and our food was delivered by another server. My burger was cold to the touch and my guess is that it sat in the kitchen waiting for our server to bring it to us. Also, from the looks of things, it appears that longtime partner to the Brass Tap, Carrollwood Brewing has moved out. The brewing equipment, which has long been a focal point in the restaurant, has been removed. There is no longer any Carrollwood Brewery product included on the tap menu, which is unfortunate. I was a huge fan of Carrollwood Nessie! I pulled one star from my previous reviews because of their current state. I am not sure what the future holds for the Brass Tap, but I hope that they pull it back together soon. They are still one of our go-to restaurants in the area and the atmosphere can't be beat if you are a beer lover.
Several flawless visits to the Brass Tap earned this place five stars in my book. I enjoyed this laid back brewery before the pandemic, and even more so during. This past year I've appreciated their efforts to combat the spread of the virus. Staff always wore masks. Plus, they opened huge windows to let fresh air in. I can't drink beer but there's always a delicious hard cider for me. The menu offers legitimately gluten-free options. Recently, I tried the Blackened Cod tacos, which were perfect in every way. I always appreciate chefs that think to heat up the corn tortillas. Always been a fan of the Buffalo Cauliflower appetizer. This place has enough TVs to watch every sporting event, and games tend to draw crowds. Casual atmosphere ideal for couples or large groups to enjoy the game with good mixed drinks, brews, delish munchies, and friendly staff. One of Carrollwood's gems!
We have been sleeping on this place. It's actually in walking distance from where we live. Whenever we drive by, it's always busy. That is a great sign right there. We decided to have a meal and a drink (or two) for NYE. They were not to busy during this time. And we were ok with that. So we decided to sit outside. I started things off with a drink..... The Weekender. WOW.....Amazing and oh so tasty. I had 2. Lol My entree was the Baja Chicken Flatbread Pizza. It was soooo good y'all. I loved it. Very tasty and flavorful. Will probably get again on one of our future visits. My husband had a Lager Beer... Founders Gold Gold Premium Lager. He loved it. He had 2 too. And his entree was the Fish and Chips. Also very tasty. Highly recommend Brass Tap if you are looking for a relaxed cool place to grab a drink and a meal. And there are several TVs so you can watch the sporting event for the day.
I know the Brass Tap is a chain but I was pleasantly surprised by the food and beer selection. We came in to watch the FSU v UF basketball game (GO NOLES) and found a perfect view of the game in front of a few of the many TVs inside. We ordered some beers and tried some shareable small plates off the happy hour menu - the Brussels sprouts, the Queso and the tater tots. They come in sizable portions - perfect for small bites and sharing. They weren't anything spectacular but great for pairing with a beer. Definitely a great neighborhood bar!
It has been a while since I was here last. The food was good and the service was as well. Our server was nice and friendly but there were a few who looked as if they would preferred to be anywhere else but there. I got the chicken strips and fries. The Nashville Hot was a good choice, just the right amount of heat. There were enough TVs to watch whatever sporting event you wanted to see. I will definitely come back.
I love this place. They have the most amazing specials daily. The food is stellar. And Erika is possibly the best bartender on the planet. Tuesday specials are my favorite for tacos and margaritas but half off wine Wednesday's are also the bomb. Get the cheese curds. You won't regret it.

We've been coming here on and off for a few years now for trivia night every Thursday at 7:00. It does get pretty busy so we always arrive early. Buffalo Cauliflower - This has the perfect kick. Not too spicy Nachos chicken - pretty good Loaded tots - the smoked bacon was very salty. I prefer normal tots as a personal choice but to each their own Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza - Yummy highly recommend Chocolate Chip Lava Cookie Ice Cream - I feel like the cookie was bigger than last time. The Brass Tap in Carrollwood is in such a great location and has tons of seating available to sit and sip a beer. They have a wide variety of beer options available. I had the Sea Dog Brewery Wild Blueberry and my friends had the Unholy. The service was wonderful! I wish I would've caught our serve's name because she was the sweetest! Great music selection over the radio as well. We didn't try any of the food this time. I can't wait to go back and try other beers. read more

I was welcomed with a confident and cheery smile as soon as I walked in the door. I was instructed to have a seat wherever I'd like and that someone would be right with me. The extensive draft list was handed to me almost immediately along with a contemporary and updated food menu. My server, Tiana, introduced herself to me and recommended a few of her favorite appetizers and beer pairings. She was quick, knowledgeable, and efficient.
