I stayed at this hotel for four days in June 2026, since King of Prussia was pretty centralized for…read moreall of the driving I had to do in the Philly suburbs on my trip. It's just off the highway, and across the street from the KOP mall. When I realized I needed to get some things from CVS and Wegman's, both stores were only about a 5-minute drive away.
I arrived on a Wednesday evening, right after some pretty bad storms had gone through the area. There were utility trucks working on a pole in the parking lot, and when I walked up to the automatic doors, they didn't open because the power was out in the building. I pried open the doors to get in, and saw the front desk personnel doing what they could to get people checked into their rooms, despite having no computers. They were keeping a list on a sheet of paper, and walking people up to their rooms to use master keys so they could get in the door. By the time it was my turn, the power had come back on, but their computers had not, so they took me up to my room on the 4th floor and had someone run up about 20 minutes later to deliver my room keys.
One thing I request on every hotel stay is feather-free bedding since I have pretty bad allergies. I knew they wouldn't have seen that request with the power outage, so when I was brought up to my room, the employee and I looked at the pillows together and realized that three out of the four were feather. She took them with her and said they'd send up foam pillows soon. The employee who brought my room keys up also brought another foam pillow. I asked if they had any more (I use at least three pillows to sleep), and they said they couldn't find any but if they did, they'd bring them to me. I never got any more pillows, despite asking again the next day. Not the end of the world, but if my husband had been on the trip with me, this would've been a bigger issue for sure.
I had a studio suite that thankfully faced away from the highway (room 422, so if you have an odd-number room, you're probably facing the highway/mall). The room was fine over the course of my stay, but the air conditioner was ridiculously loud... especially for being in a hotel that's only about a year old. It was loud to the point that I had to use earplugs and put one of the two pillows I had over my head to drown out the noise. But otherwise, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, and there was a nice living room area in addition to the kitchen. I even used the hot plates to reheat a leftover cheesesteak, and it turned out quite well!
I had booked this hotel mainly for its convenient location, but also because it offered a free breakfast and complimentary parking. Turns out, I only used the breakfast once. It was your standard hotel food options: eggs, bacon, waffle irons, bread/bagels/pastries, cereal, etc. Nothing groundbreaking, but better than just cold grab-and-go options.
On Saturday, there was a notice taped in the elevators that said the water would be shut off from 12 pm to 5 pm, with an apology for the inconvenience. Had that not been the case, I would've gone back to the room during the day when I had some downtime, but because of that note, I decided I might as well stay out longer. All that being said, the very loud AC and lack of allergy-friendly bedding would give me a bit of pause... but ultimately I'd consider staying here again. It was a good deal for the amount of space you get in the studio suite. But I'd pack those earplugs again just in case.
