The pub welcomes familys. Has nice food with some good offers through out weekdays. It has quite a nice sized beer garden to.

Working in Filton Abbey Wood isn't particularly inspiring. There are an awful lot of office blocks,…read morenot a lot of greenery and the facilities are few and far between. So after a long stressful day in the office, finding a place for an after work drink isn't the easiest task. Thank all in the name of cider for The Fox Den Inn, just a ten minute walk from Filton Abbey Wood train station. This pub-cum-restaurant is how English pubs are represented in films like Bridget Jones and Notting Hill: wooden floors, an open fire and lots of local ales. It may not be the most exciting pub but you're guaranteed to get friendly service, huge comfy arm chairs and a good variety of drinks. It's a bit on the pricey side, and I wouldn't go out of my way to drink here, but if you work in Filton it's the best place for a cheeky mid-day pint.

The food is OK, typical chain-pub food quality with a fairly varied menu that includes the pub food classics but a very limited selection for vegetarians. The specials board usually has a lot of extra variety on it and is worth looking at. They have a couple of genuine wood fires that are quite pleasant and help give the place at least a little bit of atmosphere. It's fairly spacious with a couple of little nooks that make it feel a little cosier. The service is standard if a little cold.
