She not only educated us on the market and the area, she literally represented us every step of the way. She visited several houses for us and provided us with detailed videos of her walk-through, plus her educated opinion, which made us feel confident enough to purchase a house without ever going to Eugene ourselves until after the deal was done! Kelly was always quick to respond, kind, professional, and willing to patiently answer every one of my questions. I also appreciated that her descriptions of the houses were always objective, unless we asked her for her opinion, in which case she'd always offer her smart and honest input. We are extremely happy with the house and how easy, smooth and enjoyable the whole process was. If you are looking for a realtor in Eugene, go with Kelly. You'll be in the best hands!

Heather and John are awesome. Heather patiently kept showing us houses until we found the one that…read morewas right for us. She helped us deal with our terrible mortgage broker and with the bank that owned the property (which is a job all in itself). After the sale, after she'd been paid and her job was done, she helped us get some remedy for the poor job done by the bank's contractor. And here we are three years in and John sent an updated appreciation report on our house so we could see where we sit. Most people buy more than one house in their life, don't you want a realty partner who's always going to be there not just someone who wants to get their commission and move on so they can get more commissions? You want someone who doesn't have to do radio ads to get clients, they get them because their clients tell their friends, "This is who you need"! Well, Heart & Home is who YOU need!

Never once did I feel like I was a pain (even tho I had to be, considering how many houses he patiently showed me over the years) or a bother to him. He kept in touch without being a bother, was always willing to show me whatever I wanted to look at and when I finally did find the perfect house I knew he would take great care of me and make sure I got the best deal, the best inspector and the best mortgage broker - which I did. Whether you're a first time home-buyer like me, relocating or just wanting an excellent realtor; David is a sure bet. He knows about everything from commercial to short-sales. He has helped me, family members and several friends who all agree, he is as good as it gets! David will become more than your realtor, he'll become a trusted friend if/when you make another move, he'll take just as good of care as he did the first time. I can't say enough great things about David, he's friendly, honest, sincere and will go the extra mile to find your perfect place. He is also a great listing agent who will do everything humanly possible to sell your place for you and find you your next place - don't take a chance on an unknown; call David, he will take better than excellent care of you. He doesn't double speak, and I love that - he's isn't one of those skanky salesman, he truly has your best interest at heart and will be there long after the purchase whenever you need him.

After chatting with a few Oregon real estate agents, I stumbled upon Eugene's Alternative Realtors. What a name! "Alternative" perfectly described my friends so I dug into who these alternative agents were. Bingo, landed on Tawnya Madsen who has a background as a lawyer and mediator. It's as if the heavens opened up...and after a Zoom call with my clients we all agreed it was a MATCH. Not only that but within weeks, they found a house they loved. Tawnya managed the transaction and took care of all the first-time buyer questions and concerns, coupled with the buyers not being local to the area during the process). I will be happy to refer Eugene home buyer future clients to Tawnya and know they will be in good hands!

Tawnya was responsive, organized, diligent, easy to work with and very professional. As first time home buyers, we were walking into a world of unknown. We moved blindly from Hawaii to…read moreEugene, we had never been to the area and the only thing we were really sure about is that we wanted to buy our first home here. I contacted a few realtors and Susan called me almost immediately. We were still in Hawaii during our initial phone conversation, but Susan was welcoming, transparent, confident in our wishlist, and she made us feel comfortable. I did speak to a few other agents afterward, but some pushed us off to their assistant and others didn't seem welcoming on the phone. After moving, Susan immediately took us around the Springfield-Eugene area to see different neighborhoods. As first time buyers and new to the area, we had no idea what to expect or what we really wanted. Susan asked us so many questions, which was PERFECT because it helped us all narrow down what we wished for in a house and in a neighborhood. In return, Susan was also very patient with us with all our questions throughout the entire process. Susan always went above and beyond to carefully explain every single detail and possibility that could happen with any house we saw and any offer we made. She always noticed and pointed out the good and bad of every house we saw and she would then explain our options and possibilities. We saw SO many houses (mostly because we were still figuring out what we liked and what we didn't like and other times because the market is so competitive). Susan was so enthusiastic and patient through every visit we made her go on! We found our home and now came the offer letter and process of officially buying it. Again, Susan was so patient and carefully explained every line in the offer and in the final contract. One of the BEST things Susan did for us is she was aggressive with our offer/counter offer/conditions/etc. She knew what we could get and she always went after it. We really needed this as we had the mindset of "give-some, get-some." Even MOORE is that Susan has so many inside contacts with contractors and local businesses that she was able to speed up some of our needed repairs and we were able to get honest pricing without being quoted for work that didn't need to be done. Still to this day I ask her for contacts (carpet stretcher, handyman, house cleaner, etc.). Additionally, Susan kept us on track in regards to strict time frames, what needed to be submitted and when, signatures, etc. All said and done and we still love our new home! We got on amazing deal with some bonuses that Susan fought for us to get! We have referred Susan to some of our friends and we will always refer anybody to her for all realtor needs. When it comes time to sell, you better believe that Susan will once again be our realtor!
