Visited for the first time and not sure how to describe it. The Box is like a studio space for creatives in the music, photo, and video genres. When you first walk in, you are in the theater room and you see a drum set in the corner. I assume artists can come in to rehearse and fine tune their music. As you walk toward the back, there is a larger studio space ideal for photo shoots or video production. The studio can also simply be a event space equipped with A/V capabilities.
I visited The Box for a workshop, and it turned out they were also hosting an art show the next night. That goes to show the space can be adapted for different purposes. Located near the 16 Tech/Riverside neighborhood, the area itself is kind of nondescript but you will be surprised what you find inside The Box. read more
