I was visiting my sister in Searcy (from Florida) and decided to stop at The Boutique. Their homemade fudge is the best fudge I've ever had. I was told that the owner's father is 84 years old and he's the master behind the fudge. Incredible.
I also purchased a soy candle to bring back to Florida. It's a Bergamot Tobacco soy candle from Archipelago Botanicals, made in Los Angeles. It smells so good in my apartment.
Why shop here? I try to shop local if at all possible. This $20 candle has a 60 hour burn time. Let's compare that to a 3-wick candle from Bath and Body Works. They sell for $22.50 regular price. Even if you get the 2 for $24 deal, add a third on for $12, and use a $10 off $30 coupon, you're paying about $28-30 for three candles with tax. That's about $10 per candle, each one having a burn time of about 25 hours with all three wicks burning. So for $20, you can get 50 hours of burn time from Bath and Body Works, or you can shop local and purchase a candle like this for $20 and get 60 hours of burn time AND know that you supported a local business.
I'm sure you can similar math for other gifts found at The Boutique. But I still recommend buying the fudge no matter what! read more
