    Mushroom Risotto

Mushroom Risotto $19 It was very good would order it again. Lobster Roll $26 It wasn't bad. The sauce was very thin and drippy runny. It tasted fine but it completely over powered the lobster. There was no lobster flavor at all, so whats the point? I wouldn't order it again. Very nice looking place. Everything appeared clean. Booth seats were very uncomfortable. Too low, too far from table, not enough cushion. Sitting forward as I had to to reach, had the frame of the seat digging into my legs. I'm not short. But they were pretty. Our waiter was wonderful.

Very nice place. Very nice waitress. Food LOOKED great, but didn't taste great. Fish sandwich was pry overcooked and kind of hard to chew. Not much flavor. Husband had fish alone, not impressed either. Sadly the waitress recommended this to. 4 other customers there, so not busy at all. I had 2 sodas, both times ice was like melted already floating on top. He said the iced tea you could just taste the chlorinated water over the tea flavor. Sorry. But to many other places we'd rather go back to. I gave it a 3 because of nice place & nice waitress.

So I am really torn on this restaurant. Food was excellent and the design is great. Looks like it could be a very nice restaurant. I had the steak bites and fries. With the garlic it had kind of an Asian accent to it. I also had mushrooms with it and fries. This is where it gets a little odd. They offer two types of steaks and do not offer a baked or mashed potato. Entrees are a la carte which is fine but sides are only included in their sandwiches. There was also a lot of clutter which (like an Allen wrench set) sitting at the hostess stand an some other random clutter which shows absence of a manager or owner (Definitely nobody on the floor) that was management. Secondly, I do not understand the pool tables. Based on everything else they are completely out of place and take up valuable seating. They just did not belong. This restaurant needs to figure what they want to be. The 3rd weird thing was a server either just got off work or getting ready to work, laying in a booth and the other two servers kept going over to talk to her. Adult workers should not be laying down in a booth at all, let alone during the dinner crowd. Maybe it was the manager which might explain some things. None of those oddities affected my personal dinner but if this place wants to survive they need management/ownership to be present. Overall this place is in between with an identity crisis. Could be a great place.

I enjoyed their burger with all the trimmings, and it was delicious! Loved their fries. Everything was perfectly cooked--good-sized portions. My Better Half enjoyed her Reuben sandwich. Our server was kind and friendly. The interior was clean, and the restroom was spotless. I liked all the booths and the ability to watch sports on the overhanging TVs on a crappy weather day.

Judging by the subdued lighting, dark woods, and local themed pictures on the wall, they were right. There's actually 2 "rooms" to this place: the Restaurant and the Sports Bar, both with interchangeable offerings. After an easy downtown parking experience (maybe because it's off season?), we wandered in and were immediately seated in a nice big roomy booth. As I was driving, I skipped the beer and chose lemonade in addition to the day's special - hot beef sandwich. Dad had another lunch special consisting of moderate portions of soup, salad, and a half sandwich. We both enjoyed our orders, although my choice was a little heavier than I was normally used to. Dad's selections had a little more variety and color balance. Sevens is a neigborhood joynt that I could get used to if I lived here. There was much more on the menu than what I chose and the prices (usually ending in 7) were crazy reasonable. Our wait guy was also great.

I was immediately greeted by a young hostess who was happy to find me a table, but I said I'd find a spot at the bar. I was immediately greeted by Sophia who handed me a beer list and was happy to pour a sample. That's nice service to start out with. She checked in but was never overbearing. A+. Their unique 60/40 beef/bacon burgers caught my eye...mine had cheese sauce, tons of bacon, and bacon jam. You can only have these cooked medium well or well done; for a burger I feel that's acceptable. Sandwich components were all delightful...the beer battered fries have a nice smooth coating and the house made ranch was the thinner variety was a great complement too. I'll kip the pretzel bun next time; I didn't find it to be a great complement to the components on the burger. I felt too many taps had crappy mass-produced domestics for the squares out there. I highly recommend the Mason City Cream Ale. Wish they sold their glasses! Credit cards have a 2.99% service fee. Thankfully, debit cards have no fee...which is the law. Not many places follow this procedure.
