The store boasts, many historic and hard to find books, as well as a great selection of novels and books that you would find in any modern bookstore. The coffee shop offering some food items is very good and quite an enjoyable place to sit down for a break for coffee, and/or refreshments. I really like the feel of the basement when you descend the stairs into the cozy space filled with books in every corner. It's just my kind of spot!

They did have fun literary themed drinks this visit like Butterbrew from Harry Potter and The Red Queen from Alice in Wonderland, which we tried and liked. My husband thought the brewed coffee wasn't great (lacked flavor and scorching hot) and they had no milk or cream avail on the condiment station. I do wish BM offered a kids program or free rewards program like Barnes and Noble. Most of their discounts seem to be for online or for their paid membership.

We were there for about 30 mins, and was told near the end of our shopping that they were about to close up. This was strange given it being the middle of the day, and still 3-4 hours until the closing time posted on their front door. I would honestly try shopping at Hastings before bothering this establishment with your peasant existence.

We mainly spend time in the teen and kids area on the first floor. There is a lot of space there to relax and play, including study rooms, couches, tables with board games and puzzles, and kids' play areas. They have a lot of great activities for both kids/teens and adults. Check them out!
