This is one of those inexplicable used general fiction paperback stores; it's better than a landfill, I suppose. Fun fact: Jenny Lind was a Swedish opera singer who was extremely popular in mid-nineteenth century America. Many composers wrote music dedicated to her, hoping she would perform it and thus make them famous. I would not expect Fort Smith, Arkansas to have a street named after her.

I love their Disney section and their fun gifts although they are quite pricey. They always have a great clearance section too. The coffee shop, Joe Muggs, wasn't as great though. They have changed their menu and no longer have Italian sodas which was a bummer. They did have fun literary themed drinks this visit like Butterbrew from Harry Potter and The Red Queen from Alice in Wonderland, which we tried and liked. My husband thought the brewed coffee wasn't great (lacked flavor and scorching hot) and they had no milk or cream avail on the condiment station. I do wish BM offered a kids program or free rewards program like Barnes and Noble. Most of their discounts seem to be for online or for their paid membership.

The staff are always friendly and helpful and we often see the owner when we visit the store. We appreciate having a quality store like this close to our home and in our city.

They trade for credit at a better rate than other used bookstores I've known. Achtung, baby! They've got cats -- several of them, all free-roaming. One or two are meanies, and they all urinate freely, leaving that special odor to mingle with the natural moldy scent of decaying books. The store boasts, many historic and hard to find books, as well as a great selection of novels and books that you would find in any modern bookstore. I really like the feel of the basement when you descend the stairs into the cozy space filled with books in every corner. It's just my kind of spot!

A massive selection of vintage and current books in just about every genre. You have to be willing to browse and wander b/c there is a lot in a very large space. Noone pays good money for used books.. if you want retail for them sell them yourself online a couple weeks before the semester starts. They have always been fair, they even went as far to buy a online code for a book off of the company credit card because it was supposed to come with the book a few years back! They accept local financial aid and are REALLY easy to work with. LOVE THEM!!!
