Bypassing the premature Christmas presents, this Boots has the usual great cosmetic and toiletry ranges, and those all important offers. However, look closely before you buy, as although the buy one get one free offers are obviously a gift from the heavens, check into those "2 for €4.50" ones - you might be saving just a few cent.

I will go back to Tanya in Inglot South Anne Street or to another makeup counter next time. I arrived a couple of minutes early for my appointment and was left waiting. I then told the makeup artist that I was going to a ball with lots of photos etc. so wanted my makeup to last the night and not go shiny. Looking back afterwards I realised that she used neither primer nor fixing spray. My face looked shiny and oily only a couple of hours later and I had to reapply. With my money I had to purchase items I picked a lipstick and setting powder and told the makeup artist that I might want to top up both later. When I got home I realised that the powder was missing its compact and that that has to be bought separately. I would have had no problem buying this if I had known but then couldn't bring the powder out with me to reapply leading to further shiny face! My appointment was finished in just over half an hour and I felt like it had been rushed. This is a rare treat for me and I was a little disappointed that my makeup didn't last as I could have reapplied it myself.

It has those fancy make up counters that are usually reserved for the likes of brown Thomas, it has a children's section that includes all sorts of accoutrements that are needed by babies and toddlers. Then there is the normal make up stands that fit into the shelving of the shop. On top of all this there is a stand that always has twinkly things hanging from it, little statues made of crystal, I have never bought one but they sure are eye catchers! I was told on Wednesday the 3rd of April to come back to the store because I was given the wrong set of hair extensions than the ones I had thought I was buying . After being told on Wednesday the 3rd by a very friendly foreign man that once I had the extensions in there originally packaging and box that he could find something to suit my hair in time for my hens night. He said the mix up was an easy mistake and there was no need to worry. So I entered the store today as that sales man had told me he worked on Wednesday's and I wanted to deal with him again, he was lovely the last time. He was speaking with another customer so I spoke to the women behind the counter who I later learned is the store manager. She was blatantly rude, started off by telling me I was wrong, that there is no way she can exchange them. I felt like she was looking down in me the whole way through our conversation. Then when the sales man was finished with his client he joined us, and he explained to the manager that he had previously spoken with me and then she turned from rude to spiteful. She started speaking her own tongue with the sales man, spitting words at him while pointing her finger and furrowing her brow at me. She was very disrespectful and belittling. The sales man then changed his tone and posture when speaking to me, and told me he could no longer help. I am still in shock by the managers utter lack of hospitality and her unmannerly nature. I have been a customer atleast once a month for the past three years, whether I'm buying fake nails, eyelashes, wigs or extensions. I have even come to know most of the girls, and get along with them all. But after that experience, I will never return to the dundrum store again. I'm now stuck with heavy extensions that don't fit my head, and there not even the original set I wanted. Quite frankly I'm upset, disappointed and frustrated as I won't have any extensions for my hens weekend. But the most dissatisfing thing is that a shop I loved to escape to, to treat myself is now ruined because of one offensively impolite store manager.

I've been getting my eyebrows threaded at a few different places around the city for the last couple of years, this was by far the best. Almost every other place I've gone to has taken way too much off, despite me telling them I wanted a fuller look to frame my face. The therapist took great detail in explaining the differences in each brow and told me as I'm so fair it could take 2 years for me to achieve the look I want without having to use pencil and powder to fill. Not sure if this was an upsell technique but I appreciated the honesty! She was very careful to remove the bare minimum whilst trying to make them even. Although it's more expensive than a lot of other places I was absolutely delighted with the results, I felt like she really listed to what I wanted and my face looked so different afterwards, being properly framed. I made my follow up appointment on the spot and was given a loyalty card- not sure what exactly this entitles me to. I met a friend for lunch afterwards and even though I was wearing less make up than usual she commented on how well I looked which I definitely think was down to the eyebrows!
