I've bought a diamond solitaire necklace that I customized and a sapphire ring. The sapphire is a Montana bi-color and it is the coolest gemstone I have ever seen. It presents as at least three different colors depending on the angle and lighting. It is mesmerizing and completely unique. I'm consistently impressed with the customer service. When I buy on the website I always pick up in the store and the salespeople are friendly and helpful. I always recommend brilliant earth to friends and family! I really appreciate lab created diamonds both for the value and the ethical peace.

I use a deodorant soap for the manly areas and a Dove for Men product for the rest of my body. After this shower, I am flipping that bird off and replacing it with the locally made soap from Maven. The scent I bought on my first visit was, "my boyfriends t-shirt". I can assure you it does not smell like the t-shirts of the Sharks and Jets after they have been dancing on the rooftops and streets of New York City. In stead it smells like fresh clean laundry that has dried in a fresh summer breeze. The fragrance was so soothing that I also bought it in a Wood Wick Soy Candle and Solid Perfume. I can tell you now, I will be a repeat customer at Maven. I may even have to start considering myself to be a metro sexual, which I have not in the past.

They also have workshops and plenty of supplies, so it's a nice one-stop shop (and I'm trying to keep this review separate from their restaurant). Their pots selection is also generally good, although they can be just as seasonal as the plants. Overall, I recommend checking out Bowood Farms, if not just for the nice little stroll.

I've never really had such a pleasant retail experience to be honest. I've purchased items here and at Plaza Frontenac, and it's consistently the same -- the staff love what they do and are extremely helpful. The jewelry is beautiful too! So it's easy to get a long, very long, wish list for yourself or for the special someones in your life. Be prepared to fall in love. But it's also easy to love this company, because they have a big corporate heart. I spoke with their philanthropic staff lead who plans their community events. Did you know you can organize an in-store party or have them come to an event and get 20% of proceeds for your charity? They also donate to a lot of community non-profits (my organization is one of those)! You gotta love a company whose values put social corporate responsibility right up there as a priority. I do, and it often is what makes me a loyal shopper. And speaking of shopping... I really love going to Maryland Plaza -- it's usually a happy day when I can grab a cupcake, eat an amazing meal at any one of the many restaurants, people watch, soak up the upbeat energy of the area, window shop from the eclectic group of businesses, and spend a little (or a lot) with the stores...and now CWE Kendra Scott is on my list to visit again!
