The food is always very good, try the Mexican Burger, it's what a Big Mac wants to be when it grows up! The service is always spot on, friendly, helpful, welcoming and all round good. The place is dog friendly and has free WiFi. We quite often line up a few meetings in a row here and there is a ready supply of tea and cakes for everyone. Thanks very much to all the staff

The staff are lovely, and there's a small, yet still fairly extensive choice of cafe style breakfasts and baked goods. The last time I came was just before Christmas, and despite being a small space, still feels covid safe with massively doctoring the atmosphere, which definitely needs some kudos, as it can be a hard balance to get!

We loved the Corn Mill so much, we came back twice, bringing friends the second time!…read more Recommended to us by a local shopkeeper, and were we ever so grateful! Both times that we came, the food was bursting with delicious, fresh flavors. The halloumi fries had the squeaky bite they're known for. The fish and chips had a light and crispy batter and flaky fish. The cheese and potato pie was creamy comfort. Both of these dishes were recommended and ordering twice. The steak sandwich was tender and meaty. Desserts were sweet, satisfying, and left us all feeling quite content after the savoriness of our meals. We had the same server both times and she was fantastic! She was friendly and attentive, making sure that we had everything plus any extras that were needed. It's got to be said that the view here is phenomenal! The Corn Mill hangs above the River Dee, which gives spectacular views. The patio area makes one feel like they're floating above the river, while the dining room's spacious windows give a full view. Before you leave, take a little walk outside and head on down to see the mill that gives the restaurant its name.

The pub itself looks well kept from the outside with a lovely floral display, but inside its a little bit, well, grubby. Tables all sticky and just on the wrong side of clean. Staff are randomly dressed with some sort of "Cape" which is basically a strip of green cloth attached to their collars and hanging straight down their backs. Also wearing stupid animal head bands like a cheap christmas party was happening- but it was actually September. Staff are pleasant enough but too thin on the ground with only two working the bar. Long queues kept forming, even though there wasn't that many in the pub. We ordered An XXL burger for my other half, and three marinaded lamb rump steaks from the "Go Large" Sunday roast menu for me. This took a crazy 50 mins to arrive, by which time we were half way down our second round of drinks. The waitress did apologise for the wait without us mentioning it, so kudos for that I guess. My other half enjoyed his burger. My meal wasn't great. The lamb was fine and tasty enough, but not cooked to my specification (overdone). Gravy as thin as water, frozen rubbery Yorkshires and flavourless, rock hard veggies - cauliflower so hard it shot off my plate when I tried to cut it. The promised "pigs in blankets" were missing and the mash was like glue. Even the stuffing was so dry it almost choked me. Not a patch on the Mill House at Broughton from the same chain. Avoid!
