PRO: A handful of amenities including and outdoor pool and breakfast bar in the morning! CON: The pool is outdoors so if you're there in the winter/early spring you'r out of luck there. The breakfast bar had a variety of options for patrons so you can get a little something in your tummy. Nothing fancy here! PRO: They're pet friendly! CON: They're pet friendly! They means you man hear them throughout the hotel or smell them in your room. PRO: Friendly service/staff! CON: None! Friendly service is always the best! Being from out of town we were given a run down of the amenities and directions (with a map) to several different places to grab a bite and a drink. That's exactly the feeling I got. Lindsay was amazing. When we originally made our reservations, they only had a king room available. There were three of us, and we figured we would have to get an air mattress for our son. I called to see if there were any cancellations for a double queen room. Lindsay was so accommodating and was able to move us to one. She saved us from having to go buy something for our son to sleep on. When we arrived, Lindsay was at the desk. Again, amazing customer service! She is exactly who you want making your first impression: smiling, welcoming, and providing excellent customer service. The next day, my husband met who he thought was the manager, and I am sorry I don't have her name. She told him that they offer a discount to families coming in to tour the welding institute. My husband didn't ask for that discount, so I asked as we were coming back from the school. Again, excellent customer service! Our rate was adjusted. I appreciated the kindness. The breakfast area was comfortable, and food was good to get your day started. The coffee machine, I have to say was amazing. It grinds your beans for each cup. It was so fresh. The tea selection was excellent, too. I enjoyed many cups of hot tea while I was taking breaks from my men. Lol Checkout was not as great. The women with the pink hair was not as warm and friendly as the employees we had previously encountered. I told her about the tv and sink, which didn't seem to phase her. She did write it down, but she offered no apologies. I also asked her to make sure the right card was charged. When I received the receipt the charge went to an old card I don't use. If we received that customer service upon check-in, it would have set a different tone for our experience. Combined with the TV not working correctly and the sink not working, it would have not felt like a five star experience.
