This evening I stopped into the brick 'n' mortar on Watervliet it was amazing! I tried one of the seasonal drinks called "Sugar and Spice" which was a spiced Chai tea with coffee jellies and it knocked my socks off. Just another Pho place…read more.. Been here twice in the past week since it's an easy go to. First visit was the Wat Da Pho bowl and spring rolls. As mentioned, pho is pho... spring rolls were ok since I didn't know what to expect from them. Second visit was for the 3 Sum rice platter. Most of it was good, but my first time as a Vietnamese person eating shredded lettuce in my rice and meat platter. The pork chop traditionally has always been thin and grilled to a light char, this thing was massively thick, luckily it was still juicy and flavorful! Overall, pretty good. Spring rolls on the other hand... needs more practice. One of the two had no vermecilli noodles and was just lettuce and shrimp, while the other had a pinch of noodles. A bit short on the ratio. Still have their banh mi to try, so we'll see how that goes.
