I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt and presuming she was under pressure to see a lot of patients as quickly as possible and this explains the careless treatment I consistently received. She was usually very unclear in explaining things and in too much of a hurry to answer questions, which she would sometimes refer to her assistant, who was also clueless. The whole office was horribly run. No one live ever answered the phone. You had to leave a voicemail. Calls were usually not returned the same day. It could take days to set up an appointment. After a visit, I often got a followup survey about my experience emailed to me. But when I filled it out and tried to email it back, I would get an error message about a server problem. Every single time!!! Nothing about this particular office works! Truly an awful experience! So glad to be done with them. Used to be so much better.

Their billing department is completely incompetent. They repeatedly billed BCBS with a code that…read morepaid them nothing and tried to collect from me even though every explanation of benefits or explanation of payment clearly states that the patient is not responsible for anything that the insurance company doesn't pay (other than the patient's co-pay.) BCBS and I had many phone calls with them trying to get them to submit the claim with the correct code. They continually use the wrong code and didn't get paid and kept trying to collect the money from me. Eventually, with Blue Cross Blue Shield giving them a special exception so that they could file their form even though it was past the deadline, they were able to collect some money from Blue Cross Blue Shield and I paid my co-pay. My visit was in March 2023, and they didn't get things straight with Blue Cross Blue Shield until July 2025. Here it is August 2026, and I got a notice that they sent me to a collection agency for the entire amount that they tried to bill Blue Cross Blue Shield! I again got Blue Cross Blue Shield on the phone with their billing agent, who says oh no, they pulled it back from collections after they received payment in July 2025. Yet the collection agency took 13 months to find me, since I moved out of state in April 2025. If indeed clinical associates had canceled the collection on me, the collection agency had 13 months to take me off their list yet they didn't. If you receive any bills from this practice, I suggest you look very carefully to make sure that you or your insurance company haven't already paid them.

Her bedside manner is great, and I think she's been reasonable and helpful with rendering care. She's also been flexible with allowing me to do some visits virtually, if practical. I read others' comments regarding other members of the practice, to which I really cannot comment. I've met with NP Hayden, and spoken several times via phone to Dr. Miller. All of whom have given practical and reasonable medical advice. The front office staff has always been pleasant and kind with me. I am a big believer in the idea that you receive what you give--kindness included (not always, but most of the time). People are just people, sometimes we have good days, and other times-- not so much. I am not saying it's ok to be rude, but it's not been my experience that any of the staff here have treated me poorly. I also think it's been a positive addition to the practice to bring on a full-time phlebotomist, which has made blood draws faster and much easier. I enjoy the convenience of not needing to be referred out to another lab for routine lab work. I am not invalidating the experience of others but wanted to offer a balanced perspective from the other end of things.

I have had both great and terrible experiences with both clinicians and office support staff. I am…read morehappy with my current PCP at Clinical Associates. However, I felt traumatized by my treatment by a previous PCP there, her medical assistant and the office staff. All seemed careless, marginally competent at best and indifferent to whether I lived or died if it required any time, attention or effort on their part. It did not appear to be anything personal. The whole experience felt totally impersonal. This was the Woodholme office, which seems horribly poorly managed with zero quality control standards. No one ever answers the phone. You have to leave a message. Maybe they call you back within 24 hours, maybe they don't. I don't think I ever got any response to any messages sent through the patient portal to my previous PCP. I once had a telehealth appointment scheduled with her, used the link the office sent me and waited about 45 minutes without her showing up. Tried calling the office. No one answered, as usual. No one responded to my voicemail. She finally called me several hours later and claimed the staff had some problem processing my insurance. God forbid they treat me without making sure the insurance claim went through. Nevermind that my insurance hadn't changed since my previous visit and no one else has ever mentioned having this problem. I was very confused, frustrated and disappointed by the process and the lack of respect it displayed for me as a patient, especially since no one called to let me know what was going on or to check whether I could be available later. I got a perfunctory apology and the sense that my PCP did not think this was any big deal. Just one bad experience among several over a couple of years before I fired her. Should have done it sooner. Until recently, I also had a specialist at the Woodholme office, but she left the practice and wasn't allowed to tell her patients where she was going. She referred me to a colleague, which would have been fine EXCEPT when I tried in March to make a follow-up appointment, no one was available until November! Unacceptable when I'm trying to manage a serious medical condition, had just recently been put on a new medication, and had some concerns I felt needed monitoring. Fortunately, I was able to get an appointment with a few weeks with a specialist at a different practice. I used to have a fantastic PCP and eye doctor with Clinical Associates, but both retired several years ago. Since then, things seem to have gone extremely downhill. I am giving them two stars only because I like my current PCP so much. She is in the Reisterstown office, where a real person answers the phone most of the time, voicemail messages are returned the same day and my messages through the patient portal are promptly addressed. Based on my experience, I would give the Reisterstown office four stars (have had some isolated issues with one very unprofessional staff person there or else it would be five stars) and the Woodholme office zero stars.
