This past Sunday afternoon, I ventured into The Bay in Newmarket looking for a particular item. I was impressed with the quality and style of ladies clothing and that they carried small sizes ... as I looked for an attendant.
Near the Baby Section, I caught a sales person passing by with her friend. I asked her if The Bay carried "nursing nightgowns". She laughingly replied that "The Bay hasn't carried maternity clothes for over 2 years!" The way it occured was very patronizing and then she immediately turned and waltzed away with her friend, continuing the conversation I had interruped. I don't know, maybe she was on break.
My experience was not the quality experience that Bonnie Brooks has been promoting. First impressions are lasting. I haven't shopped at The Bay for years and certainly didn't expect to be treated with such disregard. Bonnie needs to train her staff better. Quality clothes can draw clients in, however it's the way they're treated that keeps them and makes them loyal customers.
