Menu wasn't too foreign with my friend opting for the schnitzel, my partner the farmers plate and pork knuckle for me. My partner didn't like the amount of fat in his meal but for better or worse I ate every last piece of fat and meat I could scavenge from the knuckle. It was amazing! Ending the night with apple schnapps that were too strong for me but friend loved them. Both of us going traditional with the apple strudel and the Viennese iced coffee for my partner. The platter consisting of pork belly, sausages and schnitzel is a great introduction to the menu but also tested my stomach capacity. Washing it down with 500mls of Lowenbrau didn't help but it felt necessary for an authentic experience. Menu is on the expensive side but for an occasional splurge I don't think it will hurt. The problem with this place is the reservation system. We booked online (which was painful) and when we arrived there was no booking on their system for us. This place is regularly packed out so if we had intended to dine later, it is highly likely that we would missed out. The staff are well aware of this problem but nothing has been done to fix it. Book early and by phone if you wish to dine here as you planned.
