The Barn is a local pub found near the Miskin area, just off the A4119.
This is the ideal location to chill out on a summer's day when the sun is shining, as the pub has a large beer garden with ample seating for customers and a play area for children. There is also the unique attraction of sharing the atmosphere with the local wildlife, and it is not uncommon to find yourself dodging a peacock or two while walking outside. Seriously.
The drinks on offer are well priced too, with the option to double up for £1.25 and the always tempting offer of "buy two glasses get the rest of the bottle free". While the pub is a great venue to enjoy a relaxing drink and take in the calm surroundings, the restaurant side of this venue has seen mixed reviews.

On some occasions I've left satisfied with a full stomach and a contented smile on my face, an equal number of times I've left a bit angry, still hungry and scraping the taste off my tongue. This is a shame because the prices of meals here are quite good value for money. However, in this case, it seems the age old battle of value over taste rears its ugly head once again, when it comes to food anyway. read more
