Unfortunately, KC at The Barbery has become a serious inconvenience. Before my haircut, I could quietly go about my day unnoticed. Now people keep saying things like, "Nice haircut," and asking where I got it done. I showed up looking like I had given up on personal grooming several weeks ago. KC somehow turned that situation around and made me look like a functioning adult. The woman clearly has unreasonable levels of talent. Great atmosphere, great conversation, and an annoyingly consistent ability to give exactly the haircut you wanted--even when your instructions are basically, "Make me look less terrible." Book with KC if you want an excellent haircut. Just leave a few appointment slots open for the rest of us. read more

I asked for a shave after my haircut. They said, absolutely! No problem. They took out an electric razor, shaved most of my face , missing or skipping the hardest, most important parts. Afterwards, they told me how great their work was, how lucky I was, then charged me $80. Walking out, I didn't have enough time to examine what I paid for or the quality of the work, but I knew something was off. I thought to myself, I doubt it! When I got into the car and started examining the haircut and shave..... I could have went to the haircuttery for $25 and a better service. read more

KC refused to color my hair this past Christmas (2024). They are too busy and they are however, this has been done before when it was a busy time. She stated later she doesn't do color anymore and now I see photos on Yelp of cut and color a year later?! Very confused. Confirm their services when you call, ladies. read more

You found your barbershop!!! Seriously, what a great experience, service and result. I had just gotten into town and needed help, so grateful to have found The Barbery. They welcomed me as a walk in and despite being busy they made room for me, waiting less than 10 minutes, and were very friendly. The shop has the right vibe and the owners care. I was able to get a great beard trim from Kc, so wish I had her and this shop where I live in Hawaii. Anyway, you won't be disappointed, great results, more than fair pricing ... stop looking and book your next cut, trim or service. read more

Everything went well! Michael cut my husband's hair and did a great job. Close in location, good parking! He'll go back!

Wanted the haircut I had 8 weeks prior: the request was understood, and the result was exactly what I needed. Nice shop: comfortable wait, easy conversation. You should have this kind of experience. Go here. read more

Amazing service, took my son as a walk in immediately... relaxing atmosphere. Haircut was amazing, my son is picky and has great long but always wants it shortened but not chopped everyone we get it cut. They did a great job on keeping it clean on the sides and flowing up top. Would recommend (we're from LA so very picky with hair cuts, finally found someone whose on par with LA for stylists and priced below $75) read more

friendly and talented, they keep me coming back. i like using the booking system so that i don't have to wait

Best haircut I've had since moving to Scottsdale from Phoenix 4 years ago. The salon is conveniently located with ample street parking. I was able to get a desirable appointment time on relatively short notice. The place is busy and well kept, but not annoying or pretentious like so many places here. The owners are a husband and wife team and they are masters of their craft. Actually brought my toddler son for a haircut second time around. You know a place actually cares about their customers when they takes notes so you don't have to repeat everything next time you show up. Mostly, I just like that they're open Saturdays, the prices are good, the quality of the work is reliable and consistent, and they're not constantly overbooked. Well run shop all around! read more

My boys usually hate getting haircuts and never stop complaining, but KC was so quick that they didn't even have time to fuss. She also did an amazing job on their hair! read more

You can get a haircut anywhere....but you're not going to be treated like family like you do at The Barbery... I began going to the Barbery when my regular barber got COVID and was hospitalized for a few weeks. What I really like about The Barbery it's run by husband and wife, Arthur and KC. The moment you walk in, it's like they are inviting you in their living room for a chat! The place has a great community vibe like barbers used to be. Do yourself a favor...skip your regular barber just once and try KC, Arthur or Maria. See the difference for yourself. I promise you won't go back to you old place! Marco! PS: They even have an easy way to book your next haircut online - it's super easy. It takes 30 secs. Check it out: http://thebarberyaz.com read more

I'm a regular here for haircuts and occasional bread trim with Maria. There's typically two other barbers working It's a really nice barbershop and cozy. Walk-ins are welcome (sign says Walkens welcome sign a picture of Christopher Walken). Classic read more

I brought my child in for a quick trim. He has soft curly hair. I told her to just shape it and cut off some of the volume around the ears. Well. she butchered his hair. It looks terrible. I literally cried! I will never go back to this place. read more

The Barbery - All cleaned up. KC did a great job. - Barbers Near Me - Scottsdale, Arizona

I have been going to The Barbery for about a year for haircuts and shaves from Maria. She does a great job. I enjoy the casual conversations with Arthur and KC, the owners. It seems to be a great place for all ages - from kids to seniors...Although the prices are not cheap, the experience is worth the trip. The hot towels and machine back massages are perks that get your day off to a nice start. read more

Small but comfortable shop. Reasonable services. Very good cuts in my experience. My new go to barber shop. Locally owned business which I try to support. Highly recommended. read more

I found Art from reading reviews. The reviews don't showcase how talented this man is. I have like 600 strands of hair left on my head and this man actually makes me look like I have hair. He knows what to cut and just how much to cut. Any barber can cut hair, but this man has talent. read more

I needed a haircut badly while visiting my girlfriend in Scottsdale. I saw the Barbery had an opening with Arthur and I'm glad I took it. The guy knows how to cut and makes you look good. I gave him minimal direction for my combover style i wanted and he killed it. I get compliments all the time at my work and I must say it truly is a bang for your buck. Everything from the treatment, service, and especially the cut is a 5/5. Nothing short of spectacular and I will definitely be back for another cut when I'm in Scottsdale. read more

Great cut and beard trim. Very friendly and they got me in at the last minute. It's not fancy but I'll be back.

Fantastic! First time in a long time I received compliments on my haircut. KC was patient, listened to me and was great at helping me pick a hairstyle suitable for me. Amazing skills and very experienced. The final judge was my retired hairdresser mom who never likes anyone's work...she loves it! Thank you KC! read more

I had a hard time finding a good place to get cuts since moving to Phoenix for college. This place has been the best by far, always a great haircut and experience. KC always does an amazing job and gets me in and out quick while being very nice and fun to talk to. My girlfriend went with me one time as well just to see what they could do for women's cuts and KC did an amazing job for hers as well, with her saying it was one of the best haircuts she's had! Definitely recommend this place. read more

This is my second visit and was so impressed the first time I brought my 3 year old son. My son has the best haircut he has ever had, the first time his hair has style appropriate for his age. Arthur took the time to cut and style with detail and patience needed for a apprehensive 3 year old! My haircut and shampoo as refreshing and was the professional look I desired. This barber shop is almost 20 miles from our home but I will continue to patronize because of the quality and high value service and outstanding look of my and my son's hair. Go see Arthur if you want an excellent haircut! I came to his barbershop with my kids and we all felt great afterwards. They do a great job! Lots of regulars here and just a cool vibe. I was so lucky to find this place. I was skeptical at first since I've been to so many places around Scottsdale/Phoenix, but this place has finally been able to get my haircut right! The spot is so easy to get to, is incredibly clean & comfortable, & the people are extremely reliable. Prices are reasonable too. The people here really care about delivering quality because they understand that when you walk out of there, others will be asking about your cut. The biggest downside about writing this review is it's so good I'm worried the place will get too busy because they are so amazing! read more
