Best haircut I've had in a long time--highly recommend. Todd is not only incredibly professional, but just an all-around great guy. The conversation is easy and laid-back, and you walk out looking your absolute best. My hair and beard have honestly never looked better. I had been a customer of another barber shop in town (small town, you probably know it), and am grateful to have found Todd's last year. At the other shop, I received good service but never felt like they nailed the style since I didn't know what I wanted. Todd coached me through some style vocabulary at my first appointment, and I've been increasingly satisfied with my cuts now that I know how to ask. "Bald fade crew cut, blend the back and sides but leave the top a little long. Whitewall the ears." Couple tips-- If you're tying to find your style, book the unisex custom and ask Todd which styles he recommends for your face shape. Remember that appointments are short, so be prepared to commit to something. I've tried a few styles that I didn't feel fully suited me, and learned something each time. Ask Todd about something interesting and see where the conversation goes. Not only is Todd a skilled barber, he is also a master conversationalist. I've talked about the pros and cons of keto diet, the origins of modern bread making yeast, the Darwinian evolution of our species, and more. Don't be shy to start a random conversation while Todd is in his groove. I always come away with something valuable. If you need a specific time, book in advance. Appointments tend to fill up back-to-back and it can be tricky to get one if your schedule only has a few windows during the week. Turns out if you write a critical review, he will harass you via text message. You can be great at what you do, but a bad attitude can really ruin someone's day. A little bit of kindness and candor can go a long way. I don't typically leave reviews unless I'm left with a bad gut feeling about a business, and after every interaction here I consistently felt uncomfortable and I wouldn't want others to pay to have the same experience. My experience with Todd was not a good one. He does NOT like kids. My son was so uncomfortable with him. He is rude condescending and has no bedside manner. He is rough, will literally turn child's head, if child does not do as asked immediately. I .Just shocked that the way he treats his clients that he is still in business. If I could leave zero stars I would. This man is outright racist. After proving all his excuses wrong he just outright refused to cut my nephews hair. He first lied and said we didn't have an appointment, then when proven wrong, made more excuses, after proving those wrong he just outright refused us. Telling us we're in the wrong place multiple times. Letting us know our color of skin is not wanted there. It's sad we still have to deal with things like this in 2024. read more

My sister who had an appointment for her 4 year old son with Todd was refused service. He asked her could he help her, she showed him the scheduled appointment, and he proceeded to tell her she was in the wrong location. He repeatedly told her she was in the wrong location. He tried to discourage her by telling her that her son wasn't 4, (he is), that she was 30 minutes EARLY .. all the while, he canceled her appointment while she was standing right in front of him! She is new to VT, and was in hopes of finding a barber.. but found this RACIST trailer trash! My sister is so sweet & humble, she just left. It was so bad, a customer ran out and apologized for what happened! Disgusting! on my nephew's birthday at that!! Repulsive behavior from a sub par barber! The Barber Todd gave me a great pixie cut. This is the first time I've had my hair cut by a barber and I will return. Todd was all business and I appreciated that. No conglomeration of weird beauty salon smells, no soul-killing small talk. Todd got me in and out with a fine cut and the novelty of having my hair cut by a barber. It's June 30th and I have been very careful about masking, distancing, and sanitation since mid-March, so I was a little concerned about going to see Todd for a cut, which I badly needed. All my concerns were allayed--no surprise--because Todd is so conscientious. Hand sanitizer on the way in and out, both of us were masked, his tools get sanitized between customers (and only one customer at a time), he's got a super air filter running non-stop and it cleans the air of the entire shop every five minutes. So, thank you Todd! On top of that I got once again a great looking cut at a good price. So, if you're hanging back on getting a cut again, go see a pro who's looking after your health as well as your look! read more
