The Barber Lounge - Barbers Near Me - Saint Ann, Missouri

Visiting STL some weeks back for a Saturday wedding and needed beard & fade work. I spent the morning calling barbers local to the airport and beyond trying to find those that allow walk-ins. Many wanted an appointment in advance and could only offer timings in the following week. I ended up calling here & they offered to take me at any time. Per reviews across the web the hype is they are popular, though, this was the only one I drove past that hadn't any wait and not a single walk-in while there. Should've taken that as a sign. Photos posted to the web show a clean, well lit barber shop. Though in a few short years, their shop looks run down & dated. Only three barbers available that Saturday afternoon. Wear, tear and habits of men. Seeing clutter around makes you wonder about their amenities. I only mention this because of the high cost for cuttery. Prior to my visit and per our phone conv bro got me through the door for a stated $50. Far higher than what I pay in the Chi but was willing since I had an engagement to make. After the cut he wanted $60 plus tip too and bro left hair everywhere without an alcohol clean. It's nuts. You should have seen how pleased he was with his meh work. He never asked me what kind of cut or where/ how I wanted my beard line which he also F'ed up because he relied heavily on clippers instead of a flat blade. Also my head wasn't clippered properly over the ears and in few spots around the head. It's the work of a sloppy barber not paying attention. The store had ample lighting and at least two barbers had ring lights at their station which when on, you can see every detail. My cut consisted of a combination of flat shave on top with clippers everywhere else. That too, bro's clippers were rough and biting. I was wincing often and bro never asked anything. That's telltale if the clippers bite. It takes but a couple seconds to fix if the barber has a screwdriver handy. Since the clippers were biting, it's too easy to mess up a lineup. The mismatched blades will be pulling hairs.. I'm sure I'm not the only one that had left displeased with dudes cuttery. Looking back, I could have purchased the tools needed and did the cut in my hotel room for that loot. I feel like I got the tourist rate. How the heck are cuts more expensive out here than in Chicago. Smh. This shop needs to up their amenities game & fully discuss any additional charges. read more

Me and my 15 friends came for a walk in and they got us all in on a Saturday. Super nice let us play the play station and good haircuts.

Good time and a great haircut. Quick and easy and chill vibes. Def would recommend and will likely be coming back

Quick service. Went in for a beard trim and the barber was professional and offered follow up suggestions for my beard care.

Got a pretty good cut, friendly barber for sure. The $40 I was charged here is the most I've ever paid for a cut. Plus $2 to use the machine. $8 tip and we're at $50 total. I don't mind I got money but be aware if you don't. read more

Excellent barbershop with a welcoming atmosphere! First time in the shop, walked in and was greeted right away. Very clean, friendly, professional and overall great experience. The location is also very convenient to the airport. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean fade. We traveled from Dallas to visit family on a short notice and we brought our twin boys in for some cuts. We made an appointment with Mr. Merc and he was true to the time. He did a very good job and was efficient. We were nervous finding a barbershop here without having any referrals; but this barbershop delivers. The shop was clean and we loved the music selection. Everyone in the shop is nice and respectful and we love that! Their haircuts were perfect! We will be coming back again! read more

Well... I had met my hair grow out for about 5 months and I was loving the length but it was bushy. I went here to get a little cleanup and I got the exact opposite. There was a kid in training and he completely messed me up. I hate the length of it now. Do not recommend. read more

I travel very often and have gotten hair cuts from over a dozen states. I was charged $35 for a mediocre haircut. A tape up along with lining up my beard. Hands down I was robbed because I wasn't a local. That's LA prices which would of involved a hot towel and lounge access to compensate for the high real estate cost out west. As with the hair cut, the fade was decent but I was cut all over my line because the clippers were so damn sharp. 3 days later and I've got scabs in two places on the side of my face. As for the barber himself who gave me the haircut, he was a laid back gentleman with min conversation. Long story short, I def would not go back nor would I recommend anyone to go there. read more

$25 for a buzz cut, turned to $27 cause I needed to pay by card... normally you'd never expect this kind of pricing from a barber shop... Hell, salons don't even bill this high for the buzz cut AND a shampoo... shame on me, should have asked first read more

Just passing through St. Louis but googled barbershops and stopped by this one. Nate took me as a walk in and did a great job at a reasonable price. Was looking for someplace that could do a good fade and definitely found it. A lot of people in the shop and it had that multi-generation feel with young kids and some older gentlemen. Thanks! read more
