The street tacos were okay, yet I found myself reluctant that I didn't order additional tacos due to how small they were. The homemade salsa was outstanding, with a kick to it! But the tortilla chips? Burnt AF! I'm not sure if this was normal or not, yet it took a bit away from the eating experience. The wife ordered something with tortilla & chicken soup, which I also found to have a spicy kick to it, yet in a good way. The two of us ordered the food at the bar from a very attractive female bartender with the black thong with large...boots (Lol) was incredibly polite & professional. She's either the owner, or bar manager due to explaining the menu & ordering with confidence over the noise of ESPN on several TV screens and loud clientele at the bar. She offered us complimentary beverages (soda, ice water) while we waited. Of course, the clientele was 99% older men sitting at the bar staring at both my wife, the bartender, and two other servers. Again, no big deal if you are used to this. Overall, the atmosphere within the venue is slightly electric due to how new the venue is (less than 1 year old), along with authentic, home-made Mexican food. Even though the tortilla chips absolutely sucked, the rest of the entree presentation served as a welcome lunch stop when walking next door from the Hampton Inn. 3 stars for the food overall, and 1 additional star for the remarkably confident female bartender on this visit.
