My kids are still at this ballet school!! By the end of the 24-25 season they will be 9 and 11. I…read moreenrolled them as soon as they turned 3 for the upcoming season. The school is now in its 10th year of business. My girls have done well in elementary school. They never struggled with reading or math, or making friends at school. I do believe enrolling them in a good ballet school has a lot to do with it because ballet teaches memorization, repetition, practice, confidence, be social, and permission to be creative. Highly recommend this place for your child. Older students are respectful and good role models around the younger students. Everything at the school from costumes, choreography, and music are age appropriate At the younger levels it's more of music and movement lessons, getting kids to enjoy dancing and overcome stage fright. As they get older they stay in class longer learning more ballet. The school now offers acro and musical dance theater as add-ons to ballet lessons. They also do Disneyland parade trips, you don't have to be a student at the school for the Disneyland parade. Haven't done the Disneyland trips yet or MDT but the girls do like acro. My favorite though is... END OF YEAR RECITAL The end of year summer recital is NOT TO BE MISSED. 5 star, 2 thumbs up. Each production gets better and better each year! If you never enroll your kids here, at minimum go to the CBC end of year show, well worth your time to go. It is usually held the 3rd weekend in June for two nights. Location varies but they will put that info out on their instagram page. The CBC productions are fun and kid friendly, since they dance to music from Disney movies but also have nods to excerpts from traditional ballet productions of Alice & Wonderland, Beauty & the Beast, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Little Mermaid, Rapunzel & Aladdin! The owner is a professional choreographer, so instead of just seeing routines of each & every class one after the other, the owner integrates several levels together in some of the performances during the show; younger students would be like the corps de ballet doing their dance while the older students do their solos and pas de deux. You need to watch in person to understand this. It is beautiful and unforgettable to watch, just like a professional ballet production. I'm impressed with the creativity and thought put into all the performances. Several of our family and friends come out to attend and say they enjoy it better than watching a Broadway show, hah! Obviously it's student run, they're not professionals but they have so much joy performing and work very hard to prepare. Absolutely buy tickets to support the students who work so hard and dance for the joy and artistry of it.

I attended Classical Ballet Conservatory for about 5 years before I graduated high school and came…read moreup to college. I loved dancing there, to this day it's the best ballet and contemporary dance instruction I have received. I have made very valuable friends and unforgettable memories at this dance studio! All of the instructors are amazing and give constructive criticism individually so that each dancer can improve and feel that all the instructors genuinely want us to evolve and become amazing dancers. It is a wonderful environment here because there isn't any unhealthy competition between each other and I know from talking to others and from personal experience that the days when we had class were the best days of the week! I can't wait to go back and visit, I would definitely recommend Classical Ballet Conservatory to anyone and everyone!

There's also a punch card that you can buy for $80 for 10 classes and doesnt expire, which is great for busy people that can't always make it to a class. They have multiple classes for adults at varying levels. The instructors are very nice, knowledgable, and will work with you at whatever level you're at. I've been to a few adult classes at different studios. For the beginning class here, I wouldnt say it's the best. I believe in the beginning class you should be working on technique and the instructor should be helping you and correcting you more. This is more of a for fun class to get you started in dancing. It's not as serious as the other levels which some people might like. The other level classes after the beginning level are much better. Here they focus on your form and everything else. The instructors are paying attention to your lines more and offer more constructive critism. These classes I think are better if you want to learn more, work on strength and flexibility, and do more dancing.

Salt Lake City Ballet is a great studio for adult ballet students. They offer classes at every…read morelevel and even offer a Truly Beginning Ballet class. This class is great for newbies who (watched a few episodes of Breaking Pointe or SYTYCD and) are curious about ballet and want a welcoming environment where they'll feel comfortable dipping their toe in the water. I've studied ballet at an advanced level and I've been able to find a challenge in each of the classes I've attended--from beginning/intermediate to intermediate/advanced. The instructors I've experienced (Hillary, Patricia, and Amy) are top-notch and friendly with their feedback while being constructive. Similar classes at RDT will run you $12 (plus downtown parking is a nightmare). The classes at SLC Ballet are $10 drop-in rate or you can purchase a punch-card that brings the classes down to $8 per 1.5 hour class (and parking is a dream so you don't have to worry if you're running late). I've been able to build up my strength, stamina, and flexibility again, and I'm looking forward to advancing these skills even further with the adult classes at SLC Ballet. I highly recommend it. The first class is complimentary, so you don't have to take my word for it; you can try it out for yourself.
