Heather is a fantastic baker. We have been hooked since a close friend served us her apple tart. We went to her shop the next day and continue to return. Her Meyer Lemon tarts are better than authentic Key Lime Pies. The scones are the the best we have had in the U.S. Don't miss her cakes and fruit tarts. I recently ordered a cake for a retirement party from The Bake Shop. Heather was amazing to work with. She communicated very thorough and very well! She was willing to do everything we wanted. My husband and I got married on July 14, 2019. We used The Bake Shop as our cake caterer. They were amazing! They were able to accommodate and make us a cake that was healthy, light, without soy or diary, and absolutely beautiful! We were really satisfied with our cake and mini lemon meringue bites that we used as additional desserts. We ordered a 2 tier cake with: 8" Cinnamon Sugar Cake, (Almond Milk) and 10" Vanilla (Almond Milk). It had peach preserves and vanilla buttercream. We had had an unexpected car accident a few days prior to the wedding. But, with all that going on, we were able to rely on our caterers and friends and had a wonderful day! Our initial appointment involved a tasting and they were very flexible and offered many ideas. They were prompt, friendly, dropped off our cake themselves a few hours prior to the wedding, and made sure everything looked absolutely wonderful!! Aaaaamazing!!! I went in there to buy a cupcake or small cake because I had done sooo many cake tastings not finding what I wanted, I was over them. When I asked if the small cakes were the same recipe they use for wedding cakes the baker came right out and talked with me and did an impromptu tasting and it was delicious!!! I don't even like chocolate cake and I ate All of hers! The cake is definitely bakery style cake and not just something I can make at home! We visit New Symnra/ Edgewater once a year. This year we needed a special birthday cake and I did some on line reading and discovered The Bake Shop in Edgewater, FL. The owner is wonderful and so helpful. She and her staff really know their baked goods and the ingredients in their baked goods. I ordered a key lime chiffon cake which was great. It was so nicely decorated, with a lot of attention to detail. I left the frosting up to the owner and she did not disappoint. Her baked goods are not overly sweet. We also ordered scones and muffins which were also delicious. If you are gluten free, she has items and if lactose free she will make your baked items if you order them ahead of time. This business is new to this location as of this week. I am looking forward to returning once again before returning home and looking forward to trying her expanded bakery items next year. Give it a try. However, do not expect Publix prices as all her baked items are made from scratch. read more

First, I have to say that I am stunned that The Bake Shop only has three reviews. This bakery is a gem! May-be everyone wants it to be their little secret, but I can't help but put it out there. The Bake Shop is worth a trip away from home! I am not that person who likes all food places either. I am critical of what I am served. I cook and bake all from scratch. That is my basis to judge. I am frequently disappointed but always searching for a place I can buy from instead of cooking myself. I knew of the bakery from trying Heather's products at nearby restaurants buying her delicacies. I bought a few things to sample; scone, cookies and mango coconut crumb cake. The crumb cake was eaten by the time I was home and every bite was heaven. Let me first say, I am not a scone fan. I don't love the saltiness of biscuits and scones. Well, prove me wrong, Heather..... the ginger scone was light, fluffy and not salty; as a matter of fact it was buttery and sooooo yummy! The chocolate peanut butter pie and pumpkin pie, which I tried at the restaurants were also delectable. read more
