A lovely old, beamed, pub which hasn't been structurally ruined. Mind your head while walking inside as it does show that centuries ago people were a lot shorter.
Food was good, but I must say, somewhat average for its price. We ordered four steaks, 2 medium rare and two medium to well. all four were overdone. As for the Dauphinoise potatoes. I have never seen those served in a block exactly 4" 2" 2" deep.
The trio of sorbets were exquisite but two of our party ordered Baileys Creme Brulee. They state that they couldn't taste any Baileys in it.
