I have had nothing but positive experiences at both locations. My pup Lola is so excited when we walk in and often rolls over for the staff. She is a high-energy dog that sometimes just needs an outlet to run around. The staff is always very friendly and always makes us feel like they know her name and remember her (even though we go pretty sporadically and I know they have her file pulled up behind the desk :)) I always feel like I'm leaving my dog in trusted hands (and believe me-- I'm a psycho dog mom who loves my dog more than life!) I watch the webcams throughout the day and am thrilled to see my pup running around and burning energy. I also love the fun touches that they offer around holidays and events. During Christmas, they did a photo shoot for an extra fee that was absolutely the cutest thing. They somehow got my crazy energetic pup to sit in a box and take the cutest picture ever. She always comes exhausted and healthy at the end of her stay. If owners watch for signs of illness prior to taking their dog to camp and keep them properly vaccinated, illness isn't a major concern that I worry about at Camp Bow Wow. My dog is a solo boarder - we don't do The Thunderdome as I don't care who is in charge, 15 dogs in a pack is too much. So.... boarding and reservations are pretty easy. There are an almost ridiculous amount of options, with variable price points. While they had some of the fancier kennels available, I went with the lower rent option, and added on a walk each day for my dog. One thing to keep an eye on.... they have upsell options on absolutely everything. Kennel size, CCTV/webcam, I think there's TVs for the dogs in one area, baths, grooming, playtime, walks, adventure walks.... everything. I would recommend reading over their pricing options BEFORE you go, and understanding/knowing what you're comfortable spending, and sticking to it. While the base prices are comparable to other kennels I've used, you could quite easily end up paying the equivalent of a room at the Hampton Inn for your dog. Of course, if that's your price point and vibe, they got you covered. The check in staff are friendly. I got a one on one tour a couple of weeks before our reservation, and the guide was very sweet and pointed out everything. I saw every kennel room, the play rooms (even though we weren't using that), etc. Drop off was easy, as was pick up. They do use the standard slip leashes and hand your pet's gear back to you at drop off, so don't forget your leash and collar when you return! I did opt to bring her food, and her slow feeder, but they handed the bowl right back and told me they had the same one. Kora got regular walks, but I did decline the double priced adventure walk, though if she has to go for an extended stay, she might get the upgrade. There is an overnight kennel attendant, and the kennel is affiliated with the vet hospital across the street, so there is vet care available. I also found that, due to their larger size and staff, that they were much more generous with drop off/pick up times than average - any time that they are open, you can come. Headcount was low the day I toured, but I do want to say, I think this is the least stinky kennel I've ever used. I opted for the price included wipe down before pick up, rather than an add on bath, but she came home smelling fine. I think we'll be repeat customers. I just wish it were a wee bit closer to my house!

Until we went on a highly anticipated 2 week cruise / land vacation to Hawaii to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary during the winter of February 2025.. We had a PROFESSIONAL SNOW PLOW SERVICE scheduled to clear our driveway.. Marlene, the business owner called us while we were in port at one of the islands preparing to leave for dinner.. and informed us that our driveway was not clear enough & if the snow wasn't appropriately cleared, she would not have her workers stop by, & our dogs wouldn't be fed!!! I was frantically trying to call our professional snow plowing service in Ohio before our ship left port & we would lose cell service. My niece was staying at our house at night during our trip, & she took pics of our driveway, & the snow was adequately cleared. When we arrived home from our trip, the FRONT DOOR was NOT LOCKED, & there was 40 pieces of UNCOLLECTED MAIL IN OUR MAILBOX. There was also dog vomit on the pillows on our living room couch.. When I let Marlene know of the situation we came home to..she was very rude & unprofessional & accused my 30 year old niece of leaving the door unlocked, & not cleaning up the dog mess in the living room! Then she told me I was exaggerating about the mail. One of Marlene's duties was to collect the mail daily.. Our mail was nearly falling out of the mailbox into the ditch! As far as my niece leaving the dog vomit & the front door unlocked, (which she would never do), our niece left our house at 7:00 am in the morning, & Marlene's "helpers" were the last people at our home before we arrived home later that afternoon after a 20 hour flight home from Hawaii. Marlene caused what should have been a wonderful cruise & vacation to Hawaii to be stressful for my husband & I, as we were concerned our dogs would not be attended to properly.. She was rude & cold & uncaring towards me when I tried to converse with her about the condition our home was in when we returned from our trip. I am writing this review now, a year later, because I want to spare anyone else Marlene's unprofessional & rude treatment.
